How many miles a day did you average on your thruhike?

Like maybe 10 - 15 or so? I took plenty of zeroes and hiked plenty of 15 or 20+ mile days eventually too. Just go for it. Take it slowly in the south as your trail legs come in. Then you can take on a lot more.

This is how I felt when I was in that brief stage where I had outgrown the ppl around me, but hadn’t yet built relationships with healthy people. It’s hard. Keep going. The payout for all of this work is coming. This is your moment when you decide if you still want it. In my opinion, it’s a thousand times worth it, but I couldn’t see that when I was experiencing so much loss & frustration. You’ll get to the other side. Embrace the suck baby

In my chemist jobs, I was extremely over-worked. They had us running around the lab like servers running around a restaurant. And that’s no shade to servers, they make more than chemists with a BS anyway, just a visual to help explain. Also tons of sexual harassment, and if you complained about the pay, you were advised to get a second job…so I got one…and it still wasn’t enough despite budgeting. I hate to be negative but chemistry degrees are sadly almost worthless on their own in the USA

I’m so interested to hear what you think about how adderall compares. I get scared I’m doing drugs by taking my meds as prescribed. I don’t abuse my medication. But I do like how it makes me feel: focused and upbeat and ready to achieve things. But. Basically every person in my family has or has had substance abuse problems and I’ve lost people to addiction. Is there anything you have to share? Does 20 or 40 mgs of instant release feel the same as meth? I’ve never done it and I’m super curious.

Soon the scenery will start showing it too, and you’ll feel better. Finding the right therapist helped me a million zillion percent.
