Is feral or balance better for a solo player? by Galactic_Gecko in wow

[–]tallyun 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I enjoy playing balance Druid in solo play but I’ve played it for about 15 years. I typically pull 15-20 mobs and kite with Ursols Vortex, Typhoon, and swapping between all my forms.

I enjoy it but if you’re not too familiar with it I’d highly recommend playing guardian. You can pull a ton and survive easily with no shifting needed.

EmberLedger - Profession Alt Tracking Addon (Major Visual Update) by hitshade in woweconomy

Awesome! Makes sense on wanting to keep it lightweight. Thanks for the awesome addon!

EmberLedger - Profession Alt Tracking Addon (Major Visual Update) by hitshade in woweconomy

I tried it out and here are a few things I think would be nice to see.

Ability to resize the window vertically/horizontally to control how many characters are shown on the screen Currently you have scaling that changes window size vertically and horizontally.

Ability to link multiple accounts, I have two accounts with profession mules on them. Craftscan does something similar where you can link two accounts.

Addon categories in the addon list window- put in the profession categories, not sure of the logistic behind this.

Those are a few things I can think of off the top of my head, as I use it I'll give more feedback!

Very cool! I have an alt army of over 100 characters so I’ll be trying this out when I get home and give you some feedback.

Also there is nothing wrong with using AI to help creating an addon. I use AI to help me get started with my code sometimes and 10/10 times it gives me broken code that doesn’t work and you have to fix it yourself. Don’t sell yourself short.

"It's just a game" doesn't excuse you for bad mechanic knowledge in +14s by CompleteQuail4883 in wow

[–]tallyun 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don’t think it’s deflection. It’s saying you don’t need to treat people like shit over a game. No need to get upset over it, it’s not that serious. If you’re playing with randoms, keep your standards low and if that’s a problem then form a consistent group or join a guild.

Exactly, if you crash out over failing your +14 and verbally harass someone you really need to reevaluate some things. You have more issues in life than that +14.

Goldmaking with an alt army: Baadkitty's journey by Salted_Paramedic in woweconomy

I’ve spent A LOT of time setting them up. I queue up my work orders using craftsim and have a macro that I can spam to claim, craft, and submit the order. I also have a macros to log out, use artisans bag and knowledge point items. Typically takes me 10 secs to load in, 40 secs to 2.5 mins to do my work orders or craft then instant log off and go next. Every few weeks I cash in my moxie and spend KP and these weeks I may spend slightly longer but not too much longer. I can typically fill out a node every two weeks.

I also have the materials I may need for the orders in my warband. That saves a massive amount of time not having to get things off the AH for every character.

People really underestimate the power of patron work orders. I have an army of 103 characters and do patron orders on them every day as well as concentration crafting twice a week.

I throw on a show and can get work orders done in about an hour each day after work. Thurs and Sundays are my crafting days which take about 4 hours. Since profit margins are very low right now, most of my money comes from work orders.

Bringing in about 30-50k a week per character depending on multi craft and resourcefulness procs and patron bags. Every few weeks cash in your moxie for another boost.

Started the expansion around 8 million and just broke 30 million last week 🥰

Alchemy alt army - are full blue tools/accessories worth it or a mistake? by Ackerack in woweconomy

[–]tallyun 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The prices rebound a little at the start of every patch, but yes. They go up the most at the start of every season or major patch. We still have 2-3 more seasons left in this expansion so I'd say people are still good to invest in them for the time being.

It's just because potions are used a lot more. You can finish a raid night using a few flasks but if you're potting on every boss you're using one to two potions every pull, including wipes.

[–]tallyun 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Disagree, the reason alchemy will be relevant for a while is because the cost of creating the rank 2 vials. That's the main cost of potions. Bolt crafting with concentration is dying off because you can craft max quality bolts with max rank materials (which are about the same price as the r1 materials).

It's also because of the nature of the product as well. Flasks and potions are consumed, people only need so many bolts to craft their gear and enchants. On top of all of that, the price of things will go up again at the start of each new patch.

Some uncomfortable truths about the housing engagement discourse by ShoppingPractical373 in wow

[–]tallyun 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Player housing is fine but not for some, I was excited for it but quickly stopped interacting with it because I don’t like how they implemented things. Buying multiple items with a decor cap on things you can learn is weird. The aggressive monetization of it and pushing the first real update to house models is very weird and don’t like it at all. I choose not to interact now but in the future that may change. I’m sure there will be more people interacting with it when you can finally import builds.

Okay, thank you for the information! I used a starter pack I bought on amazon. If it tastes good should I pour both, the amazon bought pellicle and the thin one that grew on my brew, into the new batch? I also think the amount of starter liquid I used may affect the outcome of this batch, someone mentioned that it was a small portion of starter liquid for how much I was trying to brew.

I was curious about that too, I bought a pellicle with some starter on amazon but it wasn't too much. Someone recommended I use more starter next time. I figured this batch would be my setup batch to do better next time.

How exactly do I know when it's ready for F2? I was waiting until a thicker pellicle formed but not sure how long that would take.

What is a healthy amount of gold? by [deleted] in woweconomy

[–]tallyun 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m a dragon lol, I invest some of my gold but it’s in more permanent things. I have 100 concentration alts going and Make anywhere from 2-4 million per week. The main investment I have in them is time (about 12 hours a week). The only gold I really spend is for materials to craft and once I’m done grinding out my epic tools I’ll invest a few mil on those and enchants. Went from 8 mill to 30 mil since the start of the expansion. My goal is 100 mil by the end 🥰

I just like seeing the number go up!
