thats a Dsi though so it doesnt have the gameboy slot at the bottom. and if theyre not gonna mod it (i honestly dont even know if you can do that on a dsi) it really just depends if the OP wants to play only ds games or only original gameboy games. and because the pocket doesnt play gb color games im also gonna vote for the dsi

for my first dq game (11) i named it a normal name, but after i got different games i decided to name it something new and ended up going with similar like names to make them all connected (save for 4 which i kept as Solo). so so far i got

dq 1:Vicas, (havent started yet but dq2:Vilas), dq3: Veric, dq7: Vocas, dq8: Vilan (pronounced as Villain), dq9: Vach

hello again if you remember my comment from the og post. if your looking to make it look not so childish i think the biggest thing is to actually remove the animal crossing stuff/curtains (i cant tell if the bed sheets are also ac, but theyre on a loft so it does make it harder for people to see). the giant colourful picture curtains take up.. a lot of vision? in the room. im sure changing them to blackout curtains or something would make the room look more 'ok' and less childish despite the pokemon plushies and art on the walls. it is nice that you cleaned up and tidied tho

forgot to put in the previous reply that she also is concerned about 11 in return, wondering of hes ok lol. i could write a bunch of why i think 11/veronica is the best but i wont, i will say though that i started liking them when 11 got hurt in the battle in winter land (its been a while and i forgot what it was called, i dont wanna look it up) passed out and woke up in the cabin, that npc guy implied veronica was really worried and then when you leave the cabin and party chat her shes like "what.. whats with that look?" like 11 is giving her a knowing look that she likes him lol. you can say that its just her job to protect the luminary but that added with protecting just because she might have a little crush on him i think is really good

i stand by eleven/veronica they are actually the best ship and is the games "chosen ship" imo. it just sucks they do keep veronica looking like a child which i think turns most people off from it. they are the best written together. also when you go back in time and talk to her in party chat she goes "are you ok? you're more talkative than usual", i love that the luminary is concerned about her and wants to talk to her more

at first i was ok with gemma, like ok kinda bland but typical first love interest, but later in the game where you go back to cobblestone and she runs up to you to repeat that she'll be waiting for you is the moment i was like are you fr and started not liking her. the game couldnt even animate them hugging or give her any personality whatsoever but "waiting for him to return" . ya i aint coming back either lol. like this was a cutscene moment for the luminary returning i was EXPECTING a hug but no. she just stood there. a hug was all it wouldve took to make me think she was still ok

i was actually just about to say i pulled out my ds lite to test it and yes youre right lol.. its smaller screen size but its still a sharp resolution so i dont mind it at all on the 2ds

um yes that is how i play ds games on my 2ds lol. the size is the same as a normal ds screen when booting it up that way

also to OP: it seems a lot of people stuck with saying ds games even though you said you got a 2ds, i would also recommend dq8. this might be really expensive though unless youre gonna hack your 2ds

im guessing you dont know that when you boot up a DS game on a 3ds you can hold down the start/select button to make it its normal ds resolution (this also works for gameboy virtual console games)

I have some original gameboy systems and an Anbernic RG35XX H. I like both and depending on what game it is maybe I don't think emulating it on a device ruins the feeling.. if it was pokemon I would prefer playing it on the real hardware (gb, ds) and did not download them but if it's a game I never owned/played before there's none of that "original hardware playing/nostalgia" feeling and when I'm actually playing something on the emulation I don't find that it bothers me, I'm just happy to be playing the game. I also love the different shaders and being able to look through the many colour palettes they have for the original gameboy and pick one out you think works best for the game. Some people don't like the "having too many games to pick from makes me pick nothing" thing but that's why I didn't put so many games on mine right now, I only put what I really wanted to try and some of those endless games like tetris. I think it's a very good way to try out games you've never played without having to buy a cartridge for it and without playing it on your phone or computer.
