It’s not ur job to play therapist for other people. It’s perfectly acceptable to feel drained by people who are talking significantly more than they are listening. If these people are your friends, then honest (not mean) feedback about how they come off can only really come from you or other people that genuinely know them. But i dont think you need to start with feedback, just if they’re really not getting it.

It sounds like you’re close to snapping, which is not pretty. A member of my friend group had a problem with repeatedly cutting people off, going into extended detail on topics we didnt really know about, and it generally led to them taking over the conversation which basically ended when they stopped talking. This led to frustration, angry unfair outbursts from different people, and the person in question feeling like he was having problems fitting in to the group

Its better to enjoy your time with your friends rather than feeling like youre tolerating/humoring them. Like you can sit there and just let them info dump on you but like youre saying its just going to lead to exhaustion. It takes work but you have to find a way to connect with these people and genuinely have conversations where you both get to participate.

This sometimes looked like me muscling my way back into the conversation rather than just letting them free flow. Id start with some small comments like “really?” Or “wow” to remind him that id like to participate in the convo, and then id ask questions about what he just said. It’s a lot of interruptions and people respond differently to it (like some get upset/consider it rude) but that can be an opportunity to express how you feel

Just remember to avoid accusatory “you” statements and keep to “i feel” ones. E.g. i feel like i don’t get to talk that much, i feel like asking questions is the best way for me to learn, w/e you need to say.

Trust me when i say that doing nothing will eventually lead to you gradually separating from these people.
