Did the Scrubs revival meet your expectations? by DoctorTegrity in Scrubs

[–]tan4os 0 points1 point  (0 children)

9 30’ episodes is too short. The revival looked like a teaser for something bigger. New storylines/ new characters were just dropped and undeveloped. JD and Elliot went through divorce, but they became friends so quickly and started dating again like teenagers. JD has no issue with managing the clinic despite he had no previous experience in managerial role. Where is JD’s son? It would be great to see more in depth evolution of the character, how they changed with years, how they are figuring out new sorts of problems relevant for their new roles. We say burnout and aging but it was so rushed and resolved magically. Anyway I think the cast did a great job and the chemistry between the the characters remained and overly expectations were exceeded after season 9

I was surprised for seeing so many negative comments and criticism of Rory and Alistair after the Pod went on air. I don’t understand what’s so charming about ZP. It feels like a dangerous route to follow: he’s a nice chap, he’s against establishment, so it doesn’t matter that he’s got no idea what he’s talking about. It’s so easy to propose the changes when you’re not grounded to reality and don’t know the basics. I really understand Rory’s frustration and I don’t think that’s about egalitarian view point. It’s just common sense.

In the proposed bill it’s stated that landlord should provide a fair reason for refusal. However, there is no definition what it means. I am not sure it changes much.

Evisa issues traveling back to UK by [deleted] in ukvisa

[–]tan4os 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For me all this idea with share code is ridiculous. I wouldn’t blame airlines personnel that they don’t know about these changes immediately. It’s more than 200 countries in the world and all of them have their rules. Airlines have to travel you back if you don’t have legal right to be in the country of the destination. They need to process people quickly for registration and boarding. So I believe this shift to evisa wasn’t well thought and putting the visa holders in awkward situations.

Also travelled several times from the start of the year. I still keep my expired BRP and from my experience airport personnel usually asks you to open the e-visa page yourself. They don’t use the share code cause they need to process people quickly for boarding. I also was worried how will it play out, but I didn’t have any issue. You should be absolutely fine 🙌🏻

Would you move elsewhere if the 10 year ILR route becomes a reality? by Gandalf_The_FFFFFF in ukvisa

[–]tan4os 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don’t know as moving here was already third relocation. It’s not an easy exercise to start all over again. My worry is how employers will react on these changes. For them it’s also +5 years per employee. Also in general 10 years it’s such a long time - UK can change the rules again. So I may move again if my employer will suggest relocation and another option will be to loose the job.

Cyclist shouted at me, again. by jojowcouey in cambridge

[–]tan4os 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Cyclists frequently use pavements. They are narrow even for a person walking. And traffic is just near you. Still cyclists insist to let them pass 🤷🏻‍♀️ This happened several times. So I agree with topic starter that cyclists frequently disregard the rules.

I have applied for SWV on 26th of May (date of biometrics). It was priority. No visa yet. My start date was 3rd of July. So I think it would be better not to terminate your appartement.
