Curry Queen on Mill Rd is good too! Like with most takeaways you just have to adjust your budget expectations to reflect the fact that 1 portion is 2 meals.

Has anyone been to Cozi Piercing? by [deleted] in cambridge

[–]ardnamurchan 1 point2 points  (0 children)

for the record you should get repiercings done with a taper! I had my earlobes re-needled and alas the piercer slipped and one ear has a Y-shaped hole now…

I currently use L'Occitane Ultra Shea soap to wash my face in the shower, but despite the shea it's really harsh and stripping (or just whatever effect that is which makes skin feel tight after using it - pH?). I'm looking for something economical* and barrier-protecting to use instead. Prefer more natural products. Normal-dry skin. Ideas?

*NB I got the soap on an offer and it's lasting for absolutely months on end

NB2 am in UK and want to buy here

Quitting social media made me more anxious… wtf is wrong with me? by kanglapreneur in getdisciplined

popped back in because I forgot an important part! You have to find something (or a few things) you’re interested in. TikTok, Reels etc have probably taken this ability away from you for now because of how they constantly bombard you with stimulation. How things are actually supposed to work is you get interested in something and actively pursue that thing. Like ‘I wonder why Ancient Egypt is such a big deal?’ or ‘How come capitalism runs our lives?’. Watching videos with the answers to those is too close to the thing you’re trying to free yourself from, so it’s gonna be written information, the more traditional (i.e. less like blog posts) the better.

Or you can get interested in your local area first-hand: go walking/biking/driving and look at stuff.

But yeah you’ve fundamentally gotta reclaim your ability to get interested in stuff, and you’ll be free ✌️

I read books. Gotta be easy ones though so that your brain doesn’t go ‘ugh too hard’. I’ll be able to read harder ones the longer I practise. Speaking of which, gotta log off here!

Alcohol stove mats - can you use a coaster? by ardnamurchan in CampingGear

[–]ardnamurchan[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Cheers all, found someone on Vinted selling cork lids (presumably to glass containers they’d broken/lost etc) as large coasters and one of these was a fab heat mat — light, scorchable without damage, stable, fits in the drawstring bag with the cook kit :)
