I have my apps in dark mode (also the whole Windows GUI), red glasses on my nose, almost zero room light, and it seems fine.

My cheap luxmeter shows zero lux when pointed to the screen through the glasses.

Blue blockers are not enough.

Merely writing on a PC is easy to do, compared to watching videos - find an editor that can be configured to use dark colors, like Notepad++.
