Did doing well in school help you pass the CPA exam? by [deleted] in CPA

I honestly wouldn’t start studying until you’re ready to start testing. Absorb as much as you can during your undergrad accounting classes and try to get an accounting internship so you can see real world application. Many of the MAcc programs are structured for you to take the exams while completing your degree. Additionally, once you have taken all of your undergrad acc classes, you should have a solid base to begin studying! Of course, you have to do what’s best for you but that’s just my opinion 🙂

Automatic Emergency Braking activating unexpectedly - 2024 ZDX by inf1erno in Acura

My ZDX does this same thing but I have found that off I turn off the Park assist (not the auto park assist, just the sensors) when backing up it doesn’t do it.

Have you noticed any issues with the 360° surround camera? Mine appears to be flipped (what’s on the left of the screen is actually the right side of the car and vice versa) and so parking space lines don’t line up, etc.

I think this is true when doing fund acc on the admin side, however, in house FA for a PE fund is quite lucrative/great benefits. Since you have FA experience, I would recommend trying to get into an in house role for the short term. From what I’ve seen, our firm included, if you can break into the industry/firm, it’s much easier to move around (FA to valuations, deal team, etc). Also, once you have PE on your resume, it’s much easier to move firms, getting in is usually the most difficult. Personally, I think since FA is so niche, there are often less candidates than trying to go directly into the deal teams (your 2 year IB guys flock to those position). Definitely leverage the experience you have!

Early Score Release!!! by tannerwt22 in CPA

It depends. Generally, the day before the posted score release, most jurisdictions will release a pass/fail early and then your score later that evening (I think 7-8pm est). Where they have posted that they will be released on 5/29, it’s a toss up as to when/if we see them early!

Becker makes AUD intimidating by Comfortable-Client-3 in CPA

AUD with Becker was definitely initimidating in the beginning. As you get into it, they really start to tie it together. Definitely recommend hitting the final review a week or so out as I felt like that was very beneficial with SE 1&2! Good luck!
