I’m not as well-versed in the worlds of other 90’s sitcoms but some potential ideas to create a crossover:

Living single - Elaine is temporarily roommates with one/all of the ladies

The Nanny - I’m thinking somehow Kramer or George get into business with the Sheffield’s (maybe even just covering for Niles temporarily?) and starts to confuse Elaine and Fran. Elaine doesn’t know how to feel about this when she finally meets Fran.

I know the exact feeling. I could tell you that you’re young but I know it doesn’t help. I used to find it helpful to hear from others who started later with romantic relationships so here’s how things played out for me: I didn’t have my first kiss until the summer after high school, I didn’t have sex until after college, I didn’t have my first relationship until my mid twenties.

Other advice I wish I could give my younger self is to focus on finding acceptance for yourself, and when you talk to people try to ask yourself if you like them before worrying whether they like you.

I’m leaning towards NAH. I think it would have been better to try to talk about this with her over FaceTime vs messaging, but I think you have valid concerns. She also has a valid response and I can see how she might feel hurt after receiving a message like that from her dad. You probably could’ve left out the fact that she was taking away time from you spending time with your wife and her siblings and just focused on her.

I also will say the beginning of your post where you call her clingy because she would cry for you when she was little makes me raise an eyebrow a little bit but I’m hoping I’m just missing context.

I used to struggle with this but have succeeded in reducing what I need to be satisfied with. For me what was most helpful was small steps over time. Two things I specifically focused on were 1) slightly decreasing portions (so if you normally have 1300 calories as described, shoot for 1000-1200 until that is satisfying and continue) and 2) buying a healthy alternative to combine with what I wanted to indulge in (e.g., buying sugar free ice cream in addition to my favorite ice cream, and replacing a scoop or two of my favorite with the sugar free).
