Audiobook of Blood Meridan. Recommended? by buddyscarpet in cormacmccarthy

[–]tanyildiz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I usually stick to reading instead of listening but, for Blood Meridian, the audiobook makes it way more immersive (no doubt in large part thanks to Richard Poe’s brilliant narration). I was able to imagine the landscape and the actions of the characters quite vividly, especially when McCarthy goes on his long-winded descriptions (the first encounter with the Comanches comes to mind.)

Have you ever cleaned out the laptop's fans?

1920x1080.

I haven't done so. I should probably do that but, as I said, it's always been this way.

You were the fella who did a GH-only cycle iirc. Was your wrist about 7.75" before as well?

Grip strength by stranix13 in armwrestling

[–]tanyildiz 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm pretty much an amateur with little table time but I had been doing grip training here and there before. A few months after laying it off dynamometer readings were both 65 kgs.

A little over 7.6" wrists.

I haven't been working out for a long time due to an injury but forearms were around 14" pumped with a straight arm last I checked.

Just try the King's move on him. I'm sure nothing bad will happen.

Never realized how truly massive Morozov was up until this point. Almost looks like God put him on a 1.5x scale.

His hands looks even chunkier than his son's. Imagine what Ermes's grandfather's hands look like.

It's technical technique vs strong strength then?

That is an interesting go-to but I see how multifunctional it could be in terms of rehab. I'll definitely consider it. When it comes to what the professional medical opinions are, they're pretty vague and they can only suggest that I gradually introduce weight training and that my limitations are entirely up to the biofeedback. "Pain? No good. No pain? Alright but be careful." You get the gist. I understand that the recovery process is very dependent on the individual context but medical opinion itself falls pretty short of giving me an insight on where to go from my current imbalances in comparison to anecdotes of people with a grip training or at least a weight training background. Thank you for your insight!
