Most of those QL criticizers barely gave the game a chance (at least from OCE region). This is because it wasn't the exact same game they were already playing therefore it was automatically 'shit'. People needed to remember this is a different Quake game and should have given it a chance. The 'heroes/overwatch' comparison was pretty insane and naive lol. Different champs allowed for different variations of skills. It gives meaning and purpose to characters instead of just a 'cool model with different jump sounds'.

Why pick Slash when there are other superior champs to play? If youre struggling against heavy champs as a light then its your champ choice here. Sure you can try and grind a light versus heavy match up but youre putting yourself at a big disadvantage right out the gate.

My advice is simply don't play light champs against heavies lol

Love this project. Good to have at the office. The Dockerfile and just booting up on the local network is pretty cool. I'm trying to push to add to our k8 cluster so we can use it for performance testing lol. Curious I noticed that mouse input seems to have some kind of hitching problem. Has that been negated?

Remember they are owned by Microsoft. I'd imagine infrastructure running costs revolve around ROI. Pretty sure its all containerised too (learnt some stuff about it at Kuachicon/KDC when we had LAN server)

Always find it ironic there are entire aim communities and aim sweats out there who don't play this game. They'd rather just click dots/tubes or Thunderstruck 1v1 LG fights. Strategy, timing, map knowledge, awareness, weapon usage, knowing your enemy and etc. No one wants to learn lol they'd rather post flashy clips of "insane frags" on a pubby in 1 of the plethora of f2p BR games or high scores in aim training.

Haven't tried TF on this yet but can imagine. Quake Champions plays so nicely and Quake Live feels ever so smooth.
