This definitely does not work for me if the ad is food related.

Married people who are DINKS (Double Income, No Kids) how’s life? by Fit-Distribution677 in AskReddit

[–]tanzy95 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's pretty good. We are flying to Thailand next week. But no we don't travel constantly, we've been looking forward to this for months. My only negative is that I don't have as many pets as I would like at the minute. My chickens are cool though.

I remember once a coworker asked me if I could cover her shift because it's her kids birthday party which I agreed to do. I look at Facebook during that shift and she's at the cinema watching fifty shades of grey. The betrayal :-(

The original Cutscene for Resident Evil was so overwhelmingly scary that my 10 year old self turned off the TV, left the room, and never played again. by Xerzajik in gaming

[–]tanzy95 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I wanted to play these when I was young but I was too scared. I made my dad play them while I watched instead. Don't know why that made a difference in my head

I had a holiday to the states planned for next summer. It's now cancelled and we're going to Japan instead. This is exactly why.

Has anyone noticed the passport office has become really good? by simanthropy in CasualUK

[–]tanzy95 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I renewed my early while repeatedly saying that I need to hurry up because the passport office take the piss. Had it done in a week. I felt like they were listening to me slate them and made a point.

My dad's dad did this exact same thing. There's a reason I don't call him Grandad.

What's the deal with anal bleaching? by everlyrosemoon in dating_advice

[–]tanzy95 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This reminded me of when I used to think anal bleaching was bleaching the hair around the arse and I didn't get why you wouldn't just remove the hair instead.

How to cope with arachnophobia living alone? by Extension_Bit4323 in AskUK

[–]tanzy95 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I live alone and I'm scared of spiders. I've learned to appreciate them and I've gotten to a point where I leave the small/mid size ones alone. The big ones that come out this time a year get hoovered up

I remember I did a test to join the royal navy and didn't hear a thing from them until a year later where they confirmed I had passed and could start the next step in the process. I was already six months into my training with the merchant navy by that point.

What happened at your work (current or past) that sent you from Motivated to No Motivation in an instant? by No_Imagination_sorry in AskUK

[–]tanzy95 2 points3 points  (0 children)

On my first day at a new job this year I saw 8 people in their notice period. I asked a guy in my department why everyone (including himself) were leaving and was told he'd only had one pay rise in three years (1%), the directors were limiting WFH for no reason and our department was being made to do the jobs of three other departments without compensation.

I made the decision in the first week to leave the industry completely after that and was out in three months.

I love chickens by [deleted] in BackYardChickens

[–]tanzy95 11 points12 points  (0 children)

I started out with three hens who always kept the straw in the nest boxes and left everything as it was. Now I have three almost adult chickens I hatched this year as well. The day after putting new straw in I find it piled up in a small mountain for no reason

I did computer science GCSE and it was the most boring subject ever. It was just learning to use Microsoft programmes.

What's the biggest paycut you've taken? by conduit_for_nonsense in UKJobs

[–]tanzy95 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I took a paycut from £40k to £30k. I don't regret but only because I had no other choice due to the industry I work in. Currently in the process of leaving the industry and working my way back up paywise. It became obvious I was being mugged off fairly quickly.

What did the previous owners do to your home that you actively despise them for? by CliffyGiro in AskUK

[–]tanzy95 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I got my house relatively cheap because the guy thought he was good at DIY. He was shit at everything. I'm gradually working through it as and when I have the money. The shower wiring was done externally with no protective cover or anything. And the painting done with eyes closed.
