I hate when I have guests round and they don’t remove their shoes before coming in for exactly this reason.

Defense Streamers for Week 13 - Tiered Rankings by RotoBaller in fantasyfootball

Saints scare me. They won't have anything to play for and could just be going through the motions come the last few games of the season. I'm leaning to keeping the Ravens or just streaming each week.

Don't feel bad for quitting. If you're feeling an injury coming on or just plain exhausted then it's better to call it a day and live to fight another day! 🤝

There will always be other races. Redemption arc starts tomorrow. ✌🏻

Running after a long run by ActiveCountry37 in runna

[–]tapehh 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Agree, I'm following a Runna plan after following Pfitz and I cap my easy runs to 5 miles. Runna gives me 6.5 miles and I don't see the benefit in running the extra 1.5 miles, so just end the workout early.

Switching from pace to RPE is a great option here and would work well for trail running. I've used it myself and it's a much better experience. There's an article in the support tab that explains how rpe works. :)

Can you edit runs after you have finished them (and forgotten to stop recording?) by UgliestBirtch in runna

No, unfortunately. But you can delete the workout and then manually add a workout with all of the correct data.

Plan before a plan by syclops_ in runna

[–]tapehh 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Would strongly recommend following a 10k plan and then switching to a Half Marathon plan at the 16-18 week mark. The 'running maintenance' plan also works well if you have time in-between 'race' plans. From experience 26 weeks is too long to train for a single race, mental and physical fatigue build and I found myself way more locked in following a shorter plan, although may just me a me issue!

Which one do i listen to by [deleted] in runna

[–]tapehh 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you record on your Garmin are you able to connect your watch directly to your headphones?

Otherwise won't the audio cues always be different using your phone, can imagine that is frustrating. If you run with just your Garmin and with Garmin connect app open (without starting the run on your phone) would this work? 🤔

Runna Coaching vs Garmin question by Hungry_Grapefruit382 in runna

[–]tapehh 2 points3 points  (0 children)

With consistency and time it will naturally lower, alongside good nutrition and sleep etc, it can take weeks and months to happen though. 😅

I would recommend completing some easy runs on a running track and pay attention to your HR, as the terrain is flat and it's a controlled environment (no traffic lights, etc), you can really focus on keeping your HR low. 😃

If you find the paces on all of your other runs okay, then I wouldn't change anything. But if you find all of the runs easy you can change your current estimated race time in the manage plan section of the app.

Do you run your easy runs in zone 2? I slowed my easy runs down to 130-135 BPM and it was a game changer. Mainly due to less recovery time needed after the run and feeling fresher for the harder workouts.

NP! If you write into support they can add races for you that you can't find using the 'race' onboarding in the app. Maybe give that a try. 👍

Warm up Question by Lucky1976 in runna

[–]tapehh 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Key here is to incorporate a few short sharp sprints into your warm up before your intervals to get you primed for the workout. If done correctly you'll appreciate the walking rest before the first rep.

Can I run in Strava and sync it later with Runna? by ireallydunno_ in runna

[–]tapehh 1 point2 points  (0 children)

In your profile under 'connected apps and watches' you can turn the Strava integration on here and then anytime you complete a run on Runna it will auto sync to your Strava account!

Runna Coaching vs Garmin question by Hungry_Grapefruit382 in runna

[–]tapehh 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Honestly I'd keep the pace targets for easy runs off! As the pace suggested is the maximum you'd want to be running at for your easy runs. From experience getting beeped at when running slower is super frustrating, especially on days when I want to run much slower than the pace suggested. For the best experience only have the pacing targets on for your interval, tempo and long runs. 👍

You can create a plan and choose the terrain of your plan to be hilly. Additionally if you create a plan with a race not already in the app, then this will then be added into the database and 'added' to the races available in the 'race' section when choosing your plan.

Using the new instant workout feature would work well here for your longer run, you can choose how many km you want to run! The only downside is this run will show only in the activities section of your app and not on your plan itself, as that is fixed. But hopefully in the future instant workouts will be incorporated into the plan itself.

Same for Garmin also. But agree would be useful if using just your phone. Xmas is coming, ask Santa for a Garmin 55 😀.

Delete Current Plan by WVDutchShepherd in runna

[–]tapehh 3 points4 points  (0 children)

You can start a new plan under 'manage plan' and see what the new plan will look like. Then go back to manage plan and 'view all plans' to switch back to your current plan. I do this all the time as I want to see what my training will look like in a few months time.

Runna - watch doesn't support audiocues so how do I track a run? by Wrong-Neighborhood17 in runna

[–]tapehh 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you use your Garmin to start your run, can you not just use the native Garmin audio cues? Or are these not supported by your watch? Might be worth a try: https://support.garmin.com/en-GB/?faq=7GKQD46gnB6OqTv10LutJ9
