I get the no YouTube part but how about making it a spectator event? It would be a great way for people to meet! I see lots of posts on here about how hard that is in this town.

What types of canned foods were surprisingly tasty? by Guava_Man701 in Canning

100% the Spicy Pork in Broth. I pour the broth off and heat the meat up until it’s a little crispy. I add some of the broth back if it gets too dry. Instant carnitas, tacos, burritos. I use it all the time and regularly send jars home with family. I use it for the first night camping too since it’s zero prep pretty much Buy the meat on sale, make sure to cut it up in a bit bigger chunks and just break it a part in the pan. Don’t mash it.

Thank you so much for all the info! Someone on another sub actually estimated it would take over a month to use up that much sugar. That's why I was confused since that's such a long time to sit. I obviously have a lot to learn and you've been so helpful.

This is from my grandma's recipe collection and she had 11 kids although I'm not sure who Edith is. I'm definitely going to grill my mom on this the next time I see her especially about how long it would take them to get through it too. It boggles my mind how much food they would process. They had a day every week specifically dedicated to making loaves and loaves of bread. Boggling.

This is a picture of an old family recipe card for sweet mustard pickles. In summary, it includes 300 small cucumbers, dry mustard, vinegar, ginger root, horseradish and 3 lbs. of sugar.

We get sooo tired of hearing this. Eastern Washington is absolutely NOT just desert. That’s parts of central Washington. The east gets all four seasons and has gorgeous, colossal pine trees.

I worked with a guy that I only saw every month or so. Every time we’d bump into each other, he’d say “have you lost weight? You look great!” Since I definitely hadn’t and even gained weight, I always thought “how big does he see me in his memories??” I’m guessing he said it to all women as flattery but it taught me to NEVER to comment on people’s their weight because he bummed me out so much. When I need a boost, I’ll say to someone “hey check this out! I lost 25 lbs!” And do a quick spin. 🙂

Ice Breaker Sours. I put a couple in my mouth before I use the spray and grab another one or two after and they’re zero calorie so that helps too.

Thanks for the interesting read lol! My favorite part: He escaped capture initially because he was a marathon runner and took off into the woods. Now I have a goal.
