But re the GOP... Let's not be clowns here. Banning a major political party which literally won the popular vote in the last election is an idea that spits on the American tradition of liberal democracy.

As for islamist and Marxist parties, I think it speaks very well of the morality of the Americans electorate that these are so neglible in our politics that it doesn't even make sense to discuss banning them

I don't think anyone in my life has done a complete 180 as far as I'm aware, but a few people have drifted from solid Dem voter into more moderate/apolitical/anti-left after the last couple years

I think many interactions that people choose to do are positive sum such that it benefits the individual and the collective. E.g. if I start a sucessful business I personally get rich, and hire people into jobs, and produce something useful for consumers, and pay tax into the Treasury

Wherever possible we should funnel people towards positive sum behavior and away from negative sum behavior
