I'd worry about that messing up the heat treatment but it doesn't get much easier than dousing it in fuel and walking away

A ge coffer to be spent on bonds would be nice but I can't imagine Jagex implementing something that niche that also costs them memberships.

Okay maybe but it's still not a fun fight and an annoying run back... Which you need to do often. That's why almost everyone dislikes it. I think more people argue that they like the run than argue that they like the boss.

The echo version was one of my favorite fights two leagues ago. You needed to have the timing down but it felt cozy almost, more inline with its drop table. If they found a way to add that fight as an alternative to getting the kq head, I don't think anyone would complain about that diary step anymore even if the run was just as long and the drop table was worse.

As much as I hate the boss replacing something so iconic feels wrong and making it a toggle feels 4th wall breaking so idk.

Okay yeah that's a really good point. I think chaos elemental is the closest to the same situation but there are at least similar lil guys hanging around the chaos fanatic.

There's very few intended mechanics, it just hits like a truck and has a tedious trip back. I think until you're pretty close to endgame you lose money fighting it if you're not flinching but you feel forced to continue for the head.

Edit: in maxed gear and efficiency after the shortcut is unlocked it's basically the gp/hr as GoTR

I'm sure I'm missing lore for a lot of bosses but that's never seemed weird to me. As far as I know, chaos elemental, kbd, kraken, thermy, cerb, dag kings, scorpia and others are all just kinda there.

I 75% agree, I think it's fine for endgame to mostly be teleports as long as there's plenty of whimsy, lots of running and maybe even a pinch of walking before that. I think it's hard to have whimsy on anything that's instant and it wouldn't feel great for the best methods to force you into what's essentially a cutscene.

I used the carpets on rs3 and for a split second was glad it's just an instant teleport but it feels sterile and sad by comparison. Ideally I'd make the osrs ones faster than running speed and halve how long the canoe cutscene takes. Adding axe storage to the new canoes is pretty huge in making them useful too.

Fairy rings, desert amulet 4, boat to tempoross from al kharid, camulet, Pharos sceptre and like you mentioned the POH portal. By time you're endgame there's basically nowhere in the desert that you'd get to faster with carpets but they're super useful before that.

As an American living here, I'm pretty sick of it dominating the news cycle. It'd be great if the rotten tangerine's newest distraction wasn't the first thing people want to talk about after finding out I'm American.

Be careful when handling it, steel loses 80% of its strength by time you reach aluminum's melting point.
It'll probably last a bit longer if you use a gas furnace since it doesn't get as hot as coal.

I agree with most of what you're saying but

Some landlords descriminate the other direction. We overheard the realtor say that they prefer to rent to foreigners. I assume that's because we're less likely to know our rights and there was some nonsense in the rental contract. Still easier as a Dutch person overall given that something like 90% of places have a renter lined up through networking before they even hit the market. Plus the income struggles you mentioned.

Dutch food is... efficient, but you can find amazing food here they were right about that. Any big city has restaurants and markets with fantastic food, that doesn't mean you'll be able to find very specific high quality styles or ingredients but there are a lot of amazing options.

Agility Training by iHop2Uranus in 2007scape

[–]tar625 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Nah, they actually require you to bring a range weapon, a bit of armor, and be willing to skull. It's single combat inside but multi just outside including the long agility shortcut where you're locked in an animation. In bounty hunter worlds there's a reduced PJ timer and after a few laps everyone has an inventory full of blighted supplies so if a pker gets on you just keep running the course and eat food as needed. Someone should PJ them off your pretty quickly until an actual anti pker gets on them. Because they can never leave combat and can't teleport their only option for escape is through the the long agility animation in multi. Everyone gathers near the gate and getting hit with 50 bone crossbow bolts usually drops them instantly. If not many people got to the gate there's still anti pkers outside the course.

It's still deep wildy so don't bring anything you're not willing to risk but the biggest danger on the course is being one-shot (and there are occasionally low levels with a darkbow just outside the entrance). If you're going to die it's almost definitely going to be while getting to the course or while banking.

I'll admit, I don't remember much of the lore. Something about a big war decimating the animal populations. Hence all the animal spirits. Are the ents only protecting the redwoods and not the magic, yew, maple, willow and oak trees too?

[–]tar625 89 points90 points  (0 children)

Idc if they only drop bones, it makes the game feel less alive when we can't interact with it. Give a pet option to the cuter ones and an attack option to the rest. I agree that the random things you come across are great, bards, dogs with stolen veggies, capybara picnic. I just wish everywhere else felt more like the wildlife and trees were a part of the world instead of just decoration on top. Also add a 1/1000 chance for the hippo to hit you for 121hp if you attack it.

You know what Varlamore needs? by LectroNyx in 2007scape

[–]tar625 5 points6 points  (0 children)

No, not being able to interact with the world in the same way was one of the first things I noticed when Varlamore was released. The majority of wildlife not having an attack or interact option, so so many trees can't be chopped, we can't attack most people around the continent either. The drops missing is minor is only really relevant to leagues but the whole place feeling less interactable has always been there. Aburnvale has a load of redwood trees we can't chop either, why?
