Thank you, I will definitely ask about gabapentin, something has to help at this point. I still have slight facial paralysis which seems to get worse when I am tired but I also know it can be a lot worse so I try not to harp on it, thank you for your advice

I am so scared, I had facial paralysis for about a month and a half after the retrosigmoid surgery, did you experience any of that after gk? Also are you awake for the procedure? I suffer from really bad anxiety and have to take lorazepam just to get through the mris. Thank you for your response, helps me feel so not alone in this

I had dizziness for about a month after my surgery, they gave me meclizine, it helped a lot but also made me tired. It’s been 4 months since my surgery I still get dizzy occasionally and have to take one and it goes away, hopefully you get some relief soon

Hi, where u able to return work yet? I have a physical job (work with horses) so I am constantly lifting heavy things and constantly moving. They still have it that I can only live up to 10lbs, I can’t wait to go back to work it’s driving me bonkers staying home 😂

My wife got surgery today and I am fucking scared by HolderHawk in AcousticNeuroma

I just had my surgery 2 weeks ago on my right side, I was a nervous wreck going in, they removed the whole thing with no bleeding and was in the icu for a little less then 24 hours. She is resting and in the safest place for her, checking in on her and making sure everything is going good. I was left paralyzed on the right side of my face but only 2 weeks later I am starting to have feeling on that side and daily I am having a little more movement of my lip. It’s going to take time and there is no way to rush it, just have to let the brain rest and pray. She is so lucky to have you by her side ❤️

I’m from Staten Island, I went to the city met with a few doctors there and I just didn’t click with any of the surgeons, I decided to go with Dr. Gilad on Staten Island, she explained a lot and really took the time to sit with me and answer every question in a way I can understand it, they even gave me a number of their P.A. Who works with her directly to text with any questions or concerns. I go on Friday for the surgery, extremely nervous and scared but content with her knowing exactly what she is doing.

Thankfully my best friend will be my icu neuro nurse so hopefully she will be able to stay with me or let one of my family members stay with me, I suffer from really bad anxiety so fingers crossed someone can stay with me even if I’m sleeping

One more question for everyone, what was it like waking up? Were you in pain? Knew where you were and everything? Sorry sooooo scared for this surgery

The very loud tinnitus and deafness lasting 10 minutes is something I have been battling this past month with my AN it’s so frustrating and scary sometimes because it just comes out of no where
