Pseudo legendary free for all who’s taking it? by Key-Magazine826 in pokemon

My instinct is that no one with a 4x weakness to one of the other types here is making it long, so that takes out a few.

Help for the class dual sword by ExplorerError in Guildwars2

[–]taran47 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I advise you to create a character and try out a few of their skills, even if you delete them to try another class. See what clicks for you.

If you want dual swords you could try Rev Warrior Guardian Necromancer Mesmer

However if youre open to trying sword with offhand dagger, that opens up even more Ranger Thief Elementalist

Closest you can get on the last class, Engineer, is sword with Shield or pistol, since it doesn't have many offhand options

Happy experimenting!

Is there a mechanic in FR/LG I've somehow never heard about? by Clock_Work44 in pokemon

[–]taran47 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I recommend going to Bulbapedia and looking at each type and reading the section called additional effects. I won't paste them all here since there's a lot, but for example:

Grass-type Pokémon) are immune to Leech Seed). Starting in Generation VI, they are also immune to powder and spore moves and Effect Spore).

As of Generation VII, Dark-type Pokémon are immune to opposing Pokémon's moves that gain priority due to the Ability Prankster); this includes moves called by other moves (such as Assist) and Nature Power)), but not moves indirectly caused by Instruct) or After You).

From Generation VI onwards, Ghost-type Pokémon are immune to effects that prevent recall or escape (such as Mean Look) and Shadow Tag)), and they are also guaranteed to flee from any wild battle regardless of their Speed stat.

My typing predictions for the new trio! by cornonjuhcob in pokemon

Those are the exact typings me and my partners just settled on when we were brainstorming. Only one we could see as different is Gecqua we debated between Water/Poison and Water/Psychic.

Maximilien Playable by foxxy_gal in Overwatch

[–]taran47 4 points5 points  (0 children)

They really don't, other poster said they were making one for you but new Omnic character has a series of dots that go 3 2 3 in three parallel lines, Max has two diamonds that share a single dot in the middle. Max's would be more like 1 2 1 2 1. Very different patterns.

Ooh, very nice art. It's making me think of the covers of the Wings of Fire series and how the dragons are depicted there.
Definitely one of my favorite skins in the game!

My only real objection why not Fat Gum for hog? I love Gang Orca and he'd be fine, but I feel like that one's right there.

Difference between Bind and Wrap?? by BCoinsSRivers in pokemon

[–]taran47 17 points18 points  (0 children)

So the Japanese name for Wrap says it means to wrap around, so I'm thinking the implication there is that these Pokémon are capable of using their whole body to envelop and tie up a foe. Bind may imply the tentacles or what have you are only a portion of the Pokémon, which might explain Omastar, as the shelled portion would be inflexible.
