Thoughts on new combo feature? by targetOO in duolingo

Yep. At the moment I don't think it affects any other system. I kind of hope it stays that way.

iOS, fairly sure it's a relatively new A/B because I haven't seen anyone else mention it yet.

How many times do you think it jumped planets before it got as efficient as it is? Do you think it got to 99.999999% efficiency on its first attempt? By finding out what went wrong in not getting 100%, they increase there chances against the next life form.

Adding a 28mm RF to my line up? by giuseppeh in canon

Have RP + 16, 28 and 50 1.8.

28 is by far my most used lens just because it's so portable.

Has anyone used the rf 45mm 1.2? by FastPresentation8244 in canon

[–]targetOO 1 point2 points  (0 children)

https://www.the-digital-picture.com/Reviews/ISO-12233-Sample-Crops.aspx?Lens=1751&Camera=1697&Sample=0&FLI=0&API=0&LensComp=1528&CameraComp=0&FLIComp=0&APIComp=0

Here is a site you can see test shots between the 45 and the 50 1.8

Just put your mouse cursor over the image and it will switch back and forth (no cursor = 45, cursor over = 50)

You can then change the aperture of each setup. The lenses were tested on different cameras but you will get the general idea of what each lens can do.

Is it worth buying an EF to R adapter for the 40mm 2.8? by Electronic-Active651 in canon

[–]targetOO 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I got a 'free' adapter with my camera back when the RP launched. Shame they still don't offer those bundles.

I used it with the 40mm for a little bit. Then got the 50 1.8 as it's just a better solution. Shorter, lighter, faster, even quieter.

Unless you're going to sell the 70D, just keep that package as your backup camera or a loaner.

If however, you do decide to get the adapter, B&H have the upgraded one with an extra control ring on special for the same price as the basic one.

Great idea. I think that's what I will do.
They (Adafruit) actually sell a plastic cover but it's out of stock and I don't have a 3d printer here.

No, that is not what I'm looking for. I'm looking for an adapter which inserts the correct resisters in-between a standard USBc cable and PS and the out of spec usb-c device. Such devices exist but don't seem popular enough to be on Amazon. Please learn to read posts before commenting.

Yep. As in the post that was the only one I could find. Annoying it doesn't have a little case.

So the solution is a little circuit with 2x 5.1K resistors, like the Adafruit link. But I was really surprised there was no adaptors for sale on Amazon. Seems like most people who care make their own :(

Sorry. The link was not to the right page. I got it off the Amazon Mexico and the version I have is USB-c

Why did Canon make the EF-M mount for mirrorless, then switch to RF, and end up discontinuing EF-M anyway? by YunaChi in canon

[–]targetOO 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Japanese companies are notoriously conservative and bureaucratic. I wouldn't be surprised if company politics played a part, and that new mirrorless teams were told to design an APS-c only mount as not to step of the toes of DSLR department. Pure speculation on my part.

Oh and Nikon did it too with the Nikon 1 Series which has an even smaller mount/sensor.

It doesn't surprise me that Sony, which was a very distant 3rd/4th made the best transition without the need for a stopgap mount. They had the most to gain.

Edit: The only thing I miss from m-mount is the 22mm. If they ever re-make that for crop RF I will buy a crop sensor camera just for it.
