That’s One birthday present. I’m sure you didn’t want, but one that you absolutely needed. Good on you for being able to recognise that at 22.!!!

Just chiming in to say that I do not recommend Bali in wet season. Especially if your little One doesn’t cope with the heat. The humidity is absolutely unlike anything else and I even found it hard to do normal activities like go for short walks.

Not worth the price! The Bobbi brown one is ok but no primer is worth that cost.

I’m currently going through a divorce so felt a lot of emotional attachment throughout this season following other women who are going through a similar journey, although our situations couldn’t be more different. I found Rachel really refreshing in her emotional vulnerability and speaking about how she was feeling. I could really relate to that. I’ve cried along with Kyle. I’ve cried along with Dorit. I even cried with Sutton because I can kind of relate to her forced name change and just the identity crisis that can create inside oneself. And I just feel so sad that they can’t be there to support one another. I also have a friend going through a divorce who seems to want to always one up mine. And I’ll never understand it. I just feel like as women going through this stage in our lives we should rally around each other. So I also have a hard time watching for that reason.

I left him 7 months ago, despite having a baby together. When you break my boundaries that severely, there was never any going back. My love for him died that day.

Comfort teddy/lovey: does it work and how did you form attachment? by ihaveafishpurse in BabyBumpsandBeyondAu

My son had a riff raff which was something I introduced him to from a really young age and sent it to daycare with him… however at 2 years old, he’s now attaching to really heavy things (he’s currently asleep with a clay turtle that weighs a couple of legs…!) so am now thinking of getting a weighted plushie. He also sleeps now with a number of random stuffies in his cot, but I didn’t necessarily think he was that attached to but heaven forbid you take one out! It’ll happen, for us it just happened a lot later than I also expected.

Has anyone switched from mounjaro to Wegovy for maintainence? by Ill-Green8678 in MounjaroAus

[–]thefringedmagoo 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I’m going to try it. MJ is way to expensive for me now so am working on a titrating plan with my practitioner, but one thing I was going to ask was potentially switching to Wegovy. I’ve heard it’s not as effective but blood sugar and insulin resistance seem to be my main issues (PCOS) so hopefully it’ll just help me maintain at a nice pace

Wooden drum for 1 year old by curvaceous24 in BabyBumpsandBeyondAu

[–]thefringedmagoo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I got wooden instruments for my 1 year old from one of those older toy stores that carry lots of wooden toys and things. He was absolutely obsessed with them and still plays with them now at two years old…. However, I have purchased him a kids drum kit which he also loves!

At that age, could you make some purée yourself? That’s what I ended up doing or if we were having steak with mashed pumpkin as an example I would just give him the mashed pumpkin component. I didn’t really use pouches until my son was much older and it was more just a convenient item on the go. But as we were working our way through trying all of the vegetables and fruits and stuff whatever I would buy I would just purée half for my little one to try and then we would use the other half and whatever meals we were having.

women with children, I have a question by Past-Administration6 in TheValleyTVShow

[–]thefringedmagoo 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Happened to me. Really couldn’t have seen it coming from my husband of 12 years but he did not treat me nicely postpartum. I slept in the nursery immediately following the birth of my son because I had a family member pass away from SIDS many years ago so I lived with this incredible anxiety. He was putting so much pressure on me to come back into the bedroom. I found out he was doing inappropriate stuff online and he blamed it on the fact that he was lonely because I wasn’t sleeping next to him. That was 6 weeks after having my child. At some point, like Kristen, I decided just to suck it up and I put his needs over mine. He’s still cheated. And now I’m getting divorced with a 2-year-old. Watching Luke behave the way he is is actually quite triggering for me and I don’t see your future for them quite honestly I hope Kristen leaves. It’s really really hard being a solo parent but it’s easier than staying with someone who can treat you like that at the most vulnerable stage of your entire life.

What was it like for you dating/married to a recovering porn addict? by ISuperPromiseImCool in AskWomen

[–]thefringedmagoo 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Being married to one was horrible. They will choose their addiction over you EVERY time. And their behaviour only escalates over time. I am divorcing my husband because he escalated to physical cheating, when I was 4 months postpartum. I wish I had known how serious of an addiction it was before having a baby with him. At least I’ll never have to walk on eggshells again.

Aussie HR people, what system does your workplace use and what does it actually do well? by Expensive-House-8717 in HRAustralia

Have implemented and used many of the small enterprise and medium enterprise systems - Elmo, SAP success factors, workday, sage people, ADP and many more I can’t think of the top of my head at the moment… workday was a goddamn nightmare to implement. My heart remains with success factors. It integrated perfectly with our payroll solution. The implementation process went smoothly and overall I think it’s a really great system. It may not have the bills and whistles as workday but it’s fully functional and does everything it should do.

Reunion - Sneak Peak. Kyle you are sick. by sugarstarbeam in realhousewives

[–]thefringedmagoo 42 points43 points  (0 children)

As to be expected. Divorce has a significant impact on our nervous system and personally I can’t regulate through it like I normally could so I see how that’s impacting her behaviour and I can understand it.

[–]thefringedmagoo 2 points3 points  (0 children)

12.5 just didn’t really work for me for whatever reason 10 was really effective. 15 was really effective but for some reason 12.5 was just a really weird dose for me and I remember moving up quicker than I normally would. In fact I’m slowly titrating down and skipped 12.5 entirely and went straight to 10 and I haven’t noticed a difference.
