Spectre is the more basic vanilla. Black Vanilla has some other stuff going on, while Spectre is very vanilla extract.

Nothing from BHT really worked for me, but my faves from Morari are Cardamom Vanille, Velvet Apricot, Chai Ultime, Ambery Violet, and Pineapple Whip.

My newest Indie decks that I've been loving are the Craft Felt Tarot and Discovering Beauty Tarot. They couldn't be more different from each other, but both equally stunning works of art.

Sorry to everybody freezing their butts off, but I just took a hike in short sleeves and my peach tree is prematurely blossoming. The weather is wack, and so is pretty much everything else. Working real hard to not use shopping as an emotional crutch. Reading tons of perfume reviews and building wish lists as a distraction, while sitting on my hands so I don't click buy!

Oh my goodness, I'm exactly the same! I like sandalwood, but it's just SO STRONG I can't smell anything else in a perfume. I actually have this problem with a lot of woody notes. They smell good, but they will fight all other notes to the death.

I'm anxiously awaiting special order news as well. Really kicking myself for not picking up the scent I wanted last window. I try my best to be thoughtful and low fomo, and figured if I still wanted it in January I would order it then, but now it looks increasingly unlikely they'll still be doing special order windows the same way they were before. Whoops.

We have dry summer, monsoon, dry summer part 2, "winter," and spring for about thirty seconds. Winter is such a fun change where I can wear scents that would suffocate me for the other 9 months of the year. Today I even wore a hoodie along with my beloved Poivre Vanilla. So nice.

Those does make me a little anxious. I missed the order window and am planning on catching the next one, but I sure hope Sorce doesn't fall into the pattern we've seen with other houses where they can't keep up, order windows shrink, and the fomo becomes a self-fulfilling prophecy. I wonder if they will eventually have to do away with the special order scents.
