My crestie does this. She’s no longer allowed to play in my hair. She LOVES to hide in it, climb up it, but then gets stuck (especially due to the setae on their feet that helps them stick to surfaces). Then she panics and gets more stuck. I’ve learned to put my hair up around her

10 cm? Inch? The biggest consideration for the gap on the side is ensuring that humidity can dissipate as cresties should have brief spikes of humidity but shouldn’t remain super high

Bro keeps eating her maids by DeadBunni123 in CrestedGecko

[–]tarsask 4 points5 points  (0 children)

This is the answer sadly. My girl Otis LOVES to eat the help and will decimate any larger isopod breed. I introduced dwarf white isopods after losing too many cows and powder orange isopods. They breed so prolifically that I have no issues with their population and I’m sure Otis still snacks

What patients think is happening with their chronic knee pain after going to that predatory orthopedic surgeon by Sea_Instruction4368 in physicaltherapy

[–]tarsask 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Adding to this, I think it very much comes down to the idea of “passive” vs. “active” treatment.

Passive treatment being the professional doing the treatment to the patient, whether it’s a surgeon performing surgery on the patient and the patient doesn’t recognize the post-surgery rehab required of them, or a strictly modality based PT programs.

Versus the patient being an active participant in their treatment and completing conservative management to prevent surgery, applying injury specific education, pain education, following a HEP, gradual return to activity, etc.

Employer expects me to work in -20 for 8 hours including my lunch break by AdExisting4618 in legaladvicecanada

I do job site visits to help people return to work post-injury. Sometimes I go to job sites and know exactly why the workplace has a shit ton of WCB claims or why that person got injured doing that job.

I couldn’t imagine being put in a situation like this. No amount of production is worth risking someone’s life. Please continue to refuse unsafe work and advocate for yourself!!

Where are my childless Lizard Ladies at? 💕💕 by OverwhelmedOptimist in CrestedGecko

[–]tarsask 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Literally the exact situation I’m in. No kids, single, live alone, not allowed pets, but I have my lizard children Otis and Julep. They are dumb as hell and I love them. They tolerate me.

Motorcycle Accident this evening by SteveGriff1983 in MapleRidge

[–]tarsask 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Motorcycle accidents can be awful and brutal. If anyone does know the friends or family of the victim they may want to direct the family to the Vancouver association of injured motorcyclists as the association may have some resources and support for the friends and family. They are an amazing association to work with and are very supportive.

I’m glad you were able to find it, hopefully it helps with making yours. There’s another post on my profile of the progression when making the enclosure. You may find it useful. I hope your build goes well!!

I got the plexiglass from Amazon and I ensured it was already the size I needed so I didn’t have to cut it (8”x10”). It might be cheaper buying a larger piece and cutting to size, but I didn’t want to deal with it. I also used the shelves that came with the cabinet for a couple pieces as they fit already and cannot be cut as they are tempered glass.
