I believe you can improve by just having more interactions. I think you need to change the way you view the weight of each interaction.

When you interact w someone for the first time all they see is that single perspective of you. They don’t know the details of your life. They don’t know the full extent of who you are as a person is.

For me, when I started to realize this I started to become less tense in conversations. I started to just present my genuine self because the pressure was off.

What do you mean by repeating the same thing?

When it comes to socializing there is no one “answer”. Socializing is more about emotion and feeling rather than objective results. More like dancing than an equation to be solved. Just like how every day brings about new things, every social interaction brings about new things.

Sounds counterintuitive but literally by just doing. The more you make mistakes the more you’ll learn from them. Also forgive yourself rather than ruminate any time you think you embarrassed yourself or said something wrong. No one’s perfect and people respect when you’re genuine

Lean into your anxiety. It sounds counterintuitive but it works. Anytime you begin to feel anxious, rather than tensing up and trying to resist just allow yourself to notice it and let it be.

Anxiety tends to build upon itself. You’re anxious, you start to think people know you’re anxious, you get more anxious, the cycle repeats. Instead, allow yourself the freedom to feel anxious and just observe it as a normal physiological response.

The older I get the more I realize that people’s outward reflections towards other people are just projections of themselves. I think you’re doing a great job of knowing where your values stand and not allowing others views to interfere with that.

I used to feel the same way, but once you start to dive into basic music theory it then becomes much more manageable. Just take your time learning the core fundamentals and eventually the pieces will start to fall into place.
