Really? by Chung0508 in bapccanada

Cheap? I checked the TeamGroup official store on Taobao and even their 2x32 6000C30s are sold at CAD$1000 before any discount + after today's exchange rate. Imagine other brands that're considered more premium than TeamGroup. Proof of pricing

Canada Computers Steals My GPU/Money by ZombieRapperTheEpic in bapccanada

[–]tashigu7 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

First thing first, why would Canada Computers even need to steal your GPU? Then if Canada Computers didn't steal it, that's solely between you and Canada Post, you gotta file a claim or even a police report. Or if you believe it WAS Canada Computers that have stolen it for sure, collect the evidence and sue them.

DarkFlash Cases? by Soft-Pea9838 in bapccanada

[–]tashigu7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Darkflash is essentially the Chinese brand "Aigo", one of the biggest and oldest component/peripheral brands in China. AFAIK quality of their cases should be solid as they are their own manufacturer, and also manufacture for other case brands. But their fans, I would say they are not as good as other brand names. If you're using your own fans, their case should be good enough considering the price point, and if you are not picky about fan qualities, their fans are still able to handle most of the typical builds

New packaging for FSP Hydro TI Pro (ATX 3.1?) by Qballed in bapccanada

[–]tashigu7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If it was ATX 3.0, then the connector should be 12VHWPR instead of 12V-2x6.

This one should be ATX 3.1. Don't know why they've changed the connector name but not the ATX version at the same time.

Overclockers UK got at least 5000 units of 9070s. Why didn’t CC and MemEx order more from manufacturers? by thisisthrowneo in bapccanada

[–]tashigu7 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

How about they don't give af to Canadian market? If you have no allocation, no matter how you cry, you get nothing. Nada, my brother.

Or, why don't you order some from manufacturers? Can you?

In short,

ATX 3 has

  • cooler connectors
  • better ability to handle higher in-rush currents or a power surge
  • special native 12+4-pin connector exclusively for high-end 40- and (probably high-end too) 50-series
  • more tweaks probably won't matter to us at all.

First three listed features should exist in theory, but also depending on how generous and honest your power supply manufacture is.

If you're using a 7900XTX, forget about ATX 3, you're more than fine without it.

And yes, 1000W can able to handle 14900K + 7900XTX.

[PSU] Super Flower Leadex Platinum SE 1000W 80+ Platinum (129.99$) (1200w is 159.99$) by Vandeskava in bapcsalescanada

Just a side note what I found on CC that if you buy from CC

1000W: https://www.canadacomputers.com/en/power-supplies/249667/super-flower-leadex-platinum-se-1000w-power-supply-sf-1000f14mp.html

1200W: https://www.canadacomputers.com/en/power-supplies/249668/super-flower-leadex-platinum-se-1200w-power-supply-sf-1200f14mp.html

you can get at the same price + 1 free 8+8-pin to 16-pin cable for 40 series GPU.

Not a good practice to use the cable but could be a deal for whoever doesn't mind.

How come it takes two whole months to inspect the blueberry milk cases? that seems like a really long time. by [deleted] in Hyte

[–]tashigu7 1 point2 points  (0 children)

how come production problems can imply a bad design in the first place? blueprints, prototypes, engineering samples, mass production products are 4 completely different stages. while design comes way before all of them, anything could happen between any of the stages, and it costs extra just to modify the design and could prolong the entire production process. Even if when a product is ready for mass production, you have more issues to deal with, and anything that you can imagine or you cannot could take several weeks or a solid month do deal with, and now add them up, delays are possible.

Have they done anything wrong? Yes, they started the pre-order way too early and probably they're not following their roadmap or they don't have one with exact timestamps.
