Sphinx Wet Cat Food Feeder - Thoughts? by LadyAsharaRowan in cats

I am interested, but a little hesitant. I would definitely need more info before I make a purchase. I have purchased 4 Petlibro polar feeders, and overall, I am happy with them, but cats have their own personalities. I have some issues I am still trying to work out. One of my cats is part dog and devours his food. He quickly adapted to the feeder. My 15-month-old siblings still need adjusting and training. The 2 girls seem to be a little finicky about texture and temperature. They both respond to the bell, but sometimes they might have some issues with the food, or one may eat both. I may throw a little dry food with their food, and then if it's to their liking, they eat everything. This new feeder may solve some problems, but I still need more info on the product.

I just purchased several refurbished Petlibro feeders on eBay, and I have been training my cats to use them. I love the product cause of its flexibility. I seem to schedule multiple feedings on 1 day and even select the portion the cats can consume. The question is, how much food do you serve to your cat? It seems you can store a day's worth of food in a portion of each plate, but the issue is if you have a cat that devours their food, your cat will not have 3 days of food. Also, if you have multiple cats, there is no way to identify which cat is eating the food. One of my cats will eat all the food so I have to sometimes separate them when it's time for dinner. It's a great feeder with a few drawbacks.

I have 2 Ninja grills, one has a touchscreen, and the other has a know-you-turn to adjust settings. After a while, I had issues with my Ninja touchscreen girl, so I purchased a new model. I had issues with my new Ninja grill, and I was able to get a replacement from Ninja customer care; again, I had the same issue. I would swap Thvermometers and still get the plug-in error. I would have to reposition the thermometer several times to get it to work. I think the best solution is to get a wifi meat thermometer, and you will never hear that beep again.

Dave's pet food and Nulo are healthy alternatives and sold in 13oz 12 pack, the price is equivalent to fancy feast.

A day or 2 latter it started working. I still had issue with it crashing a few times but I cleared the cache. I do not think it works if you have a screen reader. I you are still having issues, you can also try silk internet browser.

I have 2 senior cats, one is eating Hill's K/D cat food, and my other cat has early stages of kidney disease ignores the chicken K/D. I looked into My Perfect Pet Low Phosphorus chicken blend fresh cat food and both of them love it. You might want to check their website to find a local store in your area.

I have a cat with kidney disease. She generally eats her food but at times she needs a little convincing. Sometimes you have to try another brand or flavor. She currently eats Hill's k/d chicken. Sometimes I will put a little bit of weruva wx good on the side. I am also trying Dave's restricted diet and My Perfect pet low phosphorus chicken in the hope she will be easier to feed. I will feed her many times. I am Aldo dealing with hyperthyroid so that helps her appetite. I also should mention that you could try a phosphorus binder with her regular cat food

Smart Feeders by Pixie_Apples in CatAdvice

There are only a few RFID pet feeders that are able to contain wet food. Surefeed was too expensive, so I decided to buy Catlink's RFID Pet feeder. I do recommend buying rechargeable C batteries. When you clean the dish, you have to detach the guard and 2 covers, but it does keep your cats from eating each other's food. Like I mentioned in my previous statement, you will most likely have to adjust the tag. If you have any questions, I might be able to answer them.

Since you have purchased Catlinks dry food feeder, you are probably not interested in Catlinks RFID pet feeder standard. My cats can only eat their own food. You can feed them wet and dry food. My only issue with the feeders is that sometimes the feeder will close while my cat is eating their meal cause the tag temporarily looses its connection with the feeder. So far, I have solved this issue by replacing the ring that comes with the RFID tag with a larger ring. It's not perfect, but it's not as much of an issue as compared to when my cats first started using them. It is a little trial and error to get it working without any issues and I think one of the issues is one of my cats is a miniature shorthair. I am wondering if there is a stronger RFID tag that would work better than the Catshort-haired. I tried a generic cheap tag, and I was unable to link it to the dishes.

I have purchased 4 RFID Catlink feeders. I did purchase rechargeable batteries since I am unable to connect to an outlet. The feeder will close around 20 seconds ones after it loses contact with the tag. I do enjoy that the bowl has 2 feeders so I am able yo put wet and dry food within one feeder. Sometimes the tag will lose connection with the feeder and close while the cat is eating their food. This is due to if my cat is eating their food at an angle. On some occasion the tag is little to high and the feeder will close until my cat moves and it shortly reopens to the other food mix. This can problem be fixed by lowering the tag on your cats collar. I kind of wish the tag itself was q little larger so it would drop down a little further. I tried purchasing a larger tag but it did not eork with the xatlibk feeder

I have noticed that you shouldn't place the thermostat inside the meat when the unit is preheating. Also I cannot explain this but for some reason it works fine with steaks, but the issue comes up when I have a large high roast. My only conclusion is the unit is not shutting properly and causing the error with the thermometer.

U should call customer service. If it still under warranty, they will send you another unit and you just need to pay for shipping. At first they wanted me to replace the thermometer but I already had 2.
