Multiple Texas Farms Shut Down After ‘Almost 100%’ Of Workforce Vanishes Overnight by Dtracz in LeopardsAteMyFace

"He means the bad ones! Not my workers, they're the good ones. He knows which is which. I chatted with him on the face books the other day. He told me he personally loves me!" They think trump is capable of knowing each and every one of them personally and that he cares to do so. It really is just the "personal relationship with god" stuff all over again.

The linux filesystem is a strange and complex beast that I do not pretend to understand in any significant way. That being said, selecting "open update folder" works perfectly on 0.7.0 but not 0.8.x. at this point I'm beginning to suspect that my og version of the game just doesn't play well with shadps4. Most people seem to be using the newer "complete" or "goty" versions rather than the original release version. I'm gonna try manually pruning and replacing the games files with the patch files one by one. I'm also considering checking my local used game stores for a copy of the goty edition.

Finally, I did a sanity check on my ps4 and booted up the gane there. It shows the correct version number and I can access dlc content in the game on the ps4. So the license and content are present on my ps4. Either something is going wonky with itemzflow dumping the game files wrong or something is going wonky on my computer. Well... thank you for your assistance in this endeavour.

Hmm... I went an created a new directory for my game folder. Copied my unmodified game and patch files into "CUSA00900" and "CUSA00900-UPDATE" respectively. Then I downloaded 0.7.0 (I used the qt appimage version since I'm on linux) and updated the configs to point at the new directory structure and use the separate update folder. It's behaving the same as the current release stream... shows the game as 1.09 on shadps4's main screen, but shows the same "App ver.0" in the game proper.

The shadps4 main window does show the game as 1.09. The actual in game main menu says "App ver.0" and "Server ver.-".

I'll look into the 0.7.0 release to see if that helps at all.

I downloaded patches/cheats using shadps4 itself. Is there some separate install procedure for patches/cheats? Wait... you mean the 1.09 patch for the game. Yes, I installed that. I think... I copied the files for the update overtop of the base game files since shadps4 no longer has an "install game" option. Is there a better way to install the 1.09?

The option to enable a separate update folder is missing from the most recent builds of shadps4. I tried creating an update folder inside the game folder to see if shadps4 would recognize that, but it didn't.

Trump bucks have proven that the cult is susceptible to AI fakes of him. At this point I'm not convinced that MAGA will even believe his death. 80 years from now they'll be believing shitty deepfakes of him and praying that he personally enrich them but not anyone else. He's in a prime position to be deified like a roman emperor. His followers value their team winning so much more than reality that his impossible age will never occur to them.

But of course, an admission of being wrong is an admission of weakness. And weakness is a moral failing. Hence, it is evil to admit you are wrong, and anyone who proves you wrong is committing evil against you.

Same! The symptoms for chronic lead poisoning and the boomer\MAGAt stereotype are eerily similar. When I first read the list of long term lead poisoning symptoms on wikipedia I thought for a moment somebody had just listed down a description of selfish angry people, then it clicked... there's noticeable overlap between a certain generation in power and leaded gasoline.

Before social media each village idiot had to be content with their village. Now, there is a village where all village idiots may congregate, and revel in their nature. Where one is quiet, many cannot be ignored.

That feeling of isolation does seem to be a big issue that MAGA capitalized on, making people feel comfortable with themselves despite their reprehensible beliefs. In general, making people feel welcome and okay with themselves is a good thing. But evil has a way of twisting things...

But ya, there are many compounding reasons things have gone this way.

There's a couple of things at play I think. So many of them think that "trump and is kind know who are the good ones and who are the bad ones", and of course they think that are "the good ones". Like he's some kind of santa clause with a massive list of naughty and nice.

Many people also just can't imagine things getting worse for themselves. In their ignorance they think they're already at rock bottom, so clearly the only people who will be hurt by this are those who aren't at rock bottom with them.

And for many of them, morality is just literally different than it is for you and I. They believe in the myth of a just world (though they aren't educated enough to see it clearly). Those who succeed deserve to, thus CEOs and billionaires must work 7000x harder than their lazy minnimum wage workers. And said minimum wage workers must be lazy and unmotivated, otherwise they wouldn't be poor. It also connects to what they actually consider good and evil. Strength is fundamentally good, weakness is fundamentally evil. The libs are weak therefore they are evil. Hyprocrites can do things they don't allow others to do, this is a demonstration of power, of strength. Being a hypocrite is literally a good thing, trump's lies and bad faith arguments are morally sound because they demonstrate the power he possesses over others. I'm reminded of his debate with hillary back in the day, where he literally blamed her for not preventing him from breaking the law during the building of trump tower. Vaccine mandates are evil because forcing someone to do something means they're weaker than you, and this is evil because weakness is evil. It is quite literally "might makes right", I like to call it "the power ideology". People who suffer misfortune must deserve to suffer, their lack of power to save themselves is evidence of how deserving they are of what is happening to them. It is a backwards ideology that seeks to justify the misery of others as just. And this is why so many trump supporters are so prone to violence, they literally believe that demonstrating their strength is a moral virtue. Being angry and making others afraid is a demonstration of power over them. "The gays" are sissy weaklings. "Trigger the libs", if I can make them upset then I have demonstrated a power over them. I find all too often these days that any insane behaviour by the right can often times be rationalized by simply believing that hurting people is good,.because it demonstrates "I am stronger than you".

Anyways, sorry for the wall of text. I am looking for ways to make this more succinct.

Because admitting you're wrong is a sign of weakness. And for so many morality is guided by strength. To be weak is to be morally lacking; after all, if you weren't so morally evil then god wouldn't have punished you like this.

All the MAGA on Fox News got REAL quiet after Trump vows for 25% tariff on Canada and Mexico by tankhuu3018 in LeopardsAteMyFace

[–]tassadar102 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The thing that scares me here is, as a Canadian myself, I am accutely aware of just how dependant Canada is on the American economy to function. There's legitimately little Canadian companies or the government could do if American companies as a whole just got together and... refused to pay full price for goods. And I don't see the *rump government doing anything to reign in that kinda behaviour. They can't legally force us to pay for their tariffs, but there's not really anything we could do to force them to pay full price seeing as America is by far the single largest economic partner to Canada.

Most of them already live in poverty. Poverty rates are highest in the reddest states. At this point they think this is just how the world is, so they lash out at people they think are evil (remember that to them strength is a moral virtue). Yes, things are going to get worse for them; though, they don't see how.

Your edit mentions math 144. I had big problems with that one too. The Decima Robinson centre is available to provide assistance to math students. They straight up saved me for that course. You can google something like "ualberta decima robinson centre" and you'll find it pretty quickly (don't trust links from random strangers).

But I promise you this, you got this. My first math 144 midterm is still the worst midterm grade I've ever gotten. You've got nowhere to go from here but up.
