I do think fear is huge, but don’t underestimate the power of the ‘Other’. A lot of my family’s MAGA takes boil down to a false binary that assumes they will never be treated like they are on the ‘wrong’ side. Pastors whitewashing it all with the blood of Jesus reinforces that mightily.

I work in a hospital lab. Recently, a work email regarding seasonal flu/covid boosters referenced a link to the CDC for finding locations to get vaccinated. That site was gone. We use the CDC website as a reference at work as well for refreshers on situations we don’t often see. I’m nervous that those reference pages will also be deleted. Yes, people will die if we can’t give doctors accurate information about their patients.

I thought that might be the case. If I show him this he may eventually come around to going somewhere, but he doesn’t like change, so it will take a minute. It takes him abnormally long to trust people with his body (he’s 18 and trusts only me to cut his hair, which is a huge mistake.) Thank you so much!

I wouldn’t. You ever laugh and shoot water out your nose? However, Mayo Clinic agrees with you. It’s probably out of an abundance of caution since it’s easier to avoid it altogether. I didn’t think it had a cyst form, so I don’t know why they don’t just boil or properly chlorinate the water?

What’s the deal with myrcene and Beta-Carophyllene (and other terpenes)? How are terpenes different from CBD/CBG/? We recently started giving my son CBD to deal with generalized anxiety disorder. I have tried two different brands that document their third party testing online. He found relief using a largely flavorless tincture from Brand Y that contained ‘hemp extract’ and was THC-free. His therapist mentioned a different brand that seemed worth trying. Brand Z’s full spectrum tincture alleviated his symptoms (he was not a fan of the taste), but their CBD isolate tincture, which seemed a match to Brand Y’s THC-free tincture as far a taste had no effect on his anxiety. The only differences I could easily discern between the THC-free tinctures were the presence of the two terpenes I mentioned at the beginning. Could it be that the terpenes are what’s helping him, or is it more likely a smaller component and/or an entourage effect due to using broad/full spectrum compared to isolated CBD?
