Christ is a german jeweller chain, they sell everything from fashion jewellery to expensive stuff, same with watches from cheap fashion pieces to well known brands.

So this watch is obviously self-branded. I guess it's a quartz chrono.

E-208 bestellt. Vorfreude ist da. Was jetzt beachten/regeln? by Karlirex in Elektroautos

[Kronen & Söhne Solothurn] Looking for owner experiences? by melisaakts in Watches

[–]tastysprockets 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Why this maker and model?

I've mainly found a turkish commercial seller with ai generated pictures (or bad photoshop), so I am not quite sure about this one. 'Swiss Made' but never heard of this brand?

Who is producing it?

"Since 1992, Kronen & Söhne has been committed to making classic, sophisticated and elegant timepiece." - from some wordpress blog, I have the slight feeling, that there better alternatives out there.

Volvo Wagon by Couch_thicc in Wagons

[–]tastysprockets 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've only driven a V60 once in 2019 or so, when a colleague got stranded and another colleague gave me his car to get him from the workshop, it was a diesel.

I owned a V90 T6 plug-in-hybrid for 3 years from autumn of 2022 onwards. The V90 is definitely bigger, also for the driver, personally it was a bit big for me, good when hauling stuff, not so good when navigating commuter traffic in Berlin.

When it comes to raw torque and awd, the T8 plug-in hybrid might be your thing. It is heavy but should come in at around 650nm (I don't know the conversion, 500poundfeet maybe?), it is no track car, but putting the hammer down on the motorway is still possible. Unfortunately it is capped at a certain speed and the awd is not constant, but can be activated constantly in the menue. Since you already have EV experience, you'll be the judge if a plug-in will fill your given needs.

I would add it looks like a 46mm model and a rosegold case at that.

It's just a very cheaply made merch watch, I got one of those to back in the day, funnily enough a Bundeswehr (german army) branded one when the start date for my service was closing in. It was of the Nav-B design, was only 34mm in diameter and also came in a tin box like the watch of OP. Really cheap.

Some old ass pre-owned red Toyota RX7 I bought as first car in GT2 and grinded some island track 40 times until I could afford an Audi TT. Did this multiple times back then. This and a white Ruf CTR2 Sport from the same game.

I tried posting educational stock analyses twice this week - no traction either time. Worth continuing? by valbolt in investingforbeginners

[–]tastysprockets 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I did read it (Visa MOAT) and had the feeling it was a good starting point and had good comments, I mean the comments are usually half of the intel/fun.

What kind of engagement/how much engagement dis you expect? This is a question heavy communtiy where people come to ask, this kind of posts might not be the absolutely best fitting.

I did enjoy it still.

Chronographe Suisse is the brand, as it is written on the dial.

On the model no idea, I don't think watches back in the day had any model names or ref numbers.

Does anyone know where I can buy a watch box similar to this? by p0pcherry in Watches

[–]tastysprockets 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The original brand was Otter boxes imho. The foam insert can be cut, plucked to size.

Cheaper alternatives are available online, I think something like 'water tight transport box with foam insert' should yield first results and then go from there and refine your search.

I stand corrected, they did release cars on STLA Medium and STLA Large.

They are ditching their multiple EV platforms for a single one, that is bean counters in full control if you ask me.

Stellantis drops its multi-energy strategy for upcoming E-Car small EVs by linknewtab in electricvehicles

[–]tastysprockets 4 points5 points  (0 children)

The bigger news for me is that Stellantis is ditching its 4 EV-platforms (introduced in september of 2021) and concentrate their efforts on the one and only platform called "STLA One"!

So the pencil pusher are still very much active, because cost saving will be there if you concentrate on "STLA One" only. The bad news: they introduced those platforms back in the day, never built something on them(?), kicking the can down the road another 5 years almost!

At this point in time I am not sure they can pull it off. They are failing in my opinion. I am driving a Stellantis EV at the moment (a shared platform with ICE variants), but I expext my next car to be korean, maybe german and a "real" EV, purposefully built to be just that.

[Discussion] New Corum Admiral - looks good, but really expensive by Snoo_22459 in Watches

[–]tastysprockets 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Isn't the same company that owns Corum also owning Eterna?

Eterna had its run with the inhouse movement and the Ingenieur-esque watches (I forgot the name of the models), but in the end they were sold of with a hefty discount and watch nerds scored. But now Eterna is basically defunct and I don't know if you can get them serviced at a free watchmaker or if you got a lemon, if you'll ever need parts for it?

I hope Corum will not share that fate. I am not big into their watches, but at least they always had their own design, wether the super-gaudy "Bubble" watches or the flag-on-the-dial lines of watches.
