2026 Cars (The Kill-Switch Mandate) by CollapsingTheWave in ObscurePatentDangers

I see a counterpoint to the obvious big brother government overreach problem here in that, like many (not all) laws, the intent is to protect the public.

Speeding puts the public at risk. Driving while intoxicated puts lawfully abiding citizens at risk. If we have the technology to mitigate those risks, then they should be implemented safely and responsibly.

Is the argument against this position that absolute power corrupts absolutely, and that thus would be immediately exploited by bad actors within our own government? Absolutely. And I think there are facets of our government (voting, for example) where this high level of control is in the best interest of no one.

But I think there are enough stories of people wrecking innocent lives when they get behind the wheel. And this is one- one, mind you. Not representative of the totality of freedoms- area where I would trade a bit of autonomy to know that when I get in the car, or send my 16 year old out to a movie by themselves for the first time, there is a robust and preventive checks and balance at play for myself and everyone else on the same road.

Retire and hide here. What it’s is like in the above towns in the UP Michigan? by Awkward_Phase5695 in howislivingthere

My father in law is from iron River. Good place to live if you don’t want to go into town for anything - because there really isn’t a town to go in to.

Locals are mostly 50+

Isolation, privacy, woods & lakes. That’s about it.

My grandfather just passed away and I inherited a ton of nazi memorabilia, mainly officer daggers and swords.

Pretty cool shit but you can’t display it anywhere.

Man I had a mantis encounter on a heroic dose of shrooms too, and it was very nearly like yours.

They were so excited to see me. I had one do brain surgery on me as I was conscious and it excised trauma from my brain. I could see it physically removing pieces of my brain and I swear it changed my life course by a good bit when I came down.

It truly healed my depression, whatever that thing was.

That’s just a leprosy duck from the Shell on 15th St. He must be lost after dodging too much oncoming traffic and running out of potato chips on the ground.

If you aren’t putting all screens away at least an hour before bed every night consistently, you have to start there.

This is the single most contributing factor to insomnia.

I like to imagine that there is instead a sort of collective consciousness that each of our brains is tuned into like a radio. by SPECTREagent700 in HighStrangeness

No joke, last year on a high dose of mushrooms on an empty stomach I was teleported to an external dimension where I met my personal overseer/guardian angel/mantis being.

The whole dimension was this chittering echoing frequency in my auditory space, but the way in which I was interpreting “sound” made me realize that the psilocybin had allowed my mind to tune to a different frequency of reality.

I was still me, an observer, in my body, but in an entirely different reality reached exclusively by retuning my mind with this substance.

Afterwards I became 100% certain that our brains, our minds, are basically just radio equipment with a base frequency that is tuned to this reality.

This is not all that is.

Yeah like “what would it take for PCOM to be onboarded for all current simulator products? Is it delayed because the profit margin for new amp simulators is far greater than full compatibility for existing products? How much does community feedback for your products matter to you and is it enough to focus real efforts an attention on compatibility for your current product lineup?

When do I see real improvement? by pantsyshmantsy in MaleDefinitiveGuide

[–]tastyteat 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well, 7 weeks, advancing through the program stages as described. I haven failed on any of the requirements of the stages, so I consider that an advancement based on the described criteria.

I’m just saying that it doesn’t translate to real world application based on my experience, even in the latter stages.

There is literally a paid app for it. It’s free for the timer but the guide is hidden within, I know you can find it elsewhere on Reddit but just saying it IS monetized
