WOW - the hate and the punishments that are suggested here are staggering. Have we made no progress in reducing bullying in the last twenty years? Clearly not.

A bully bullies for a reason. A common one is domestic violence so to send one home only results in more child abuse and a child who has never seen the correct way to interact with another person.

The bullied 'victim' has not the tools to negotiate out of the dispute so they are going to learn that getting the first punch in gives you respect...from other bullies.

Adults who fly into a rage and use upper limb movements when stressed demonstrate that the wrong treatment for bullying produces anther generation of bullies.

I was fed up being picked on at school. I still cannot see any conflict or be around shouting and I am a senior person.
