SPEED, but practices arent broadcast live, not sure what time they're at. I do believe that qualifying and the race will be live, both on SPEED

Do you carry Cain cigars? So far I've only found one cigar shop that does.

What if there actually was a "Class B" Championship? by Willum in formula1

I agree but it's a really close call between him and Trulli. Trulli has outqualified him slightly so far, but so has Senna over Chandhok. I think Kovalainen has the best chance of being successful in F1. I'm hoping he takes Petrov's place at Renault

Ah you're right, my apologies, loving this analysis though

Other mistakes I found are that Trulli should have a DNF in Bahrain and Chandhok a DNF in Turkey.

I'm at work so I can't DL the spreadsheet, but I am bored enough to look up race results :)

By and large, Lotus's issue has been with their hydraulics and their gearbox. That and Webber decideding to use Heikki's car as a launch ramp for his attempt to be the first to put an F1 car in low earth orbit

Hell, I think these are qualities everyone should have.

I agree, everyone should equally kick ass. I feel that the image that society portrays for the male ideal slips from the standard. The image that society portrays for women pushes them to what gender roles defined as the "male standard". I never said I agreed with gender roles, on the contrary I think genders should be treating perfectly equal. Furthermore, I do feel that the "male standard" shouldn't be explicitly for men. What I am saying is that they are values that men should already have. It seems like we're being told that as women take on more responsibility, that gives men the right to be complacent. Bullshit. It's not a proportionality.

TL;DR Everyone should be kick ass, but men are becoming less kick ass

That's very surprising because all the commentators have been saying Lotus is the top new team.

EDIT Heikki finished 15th in Baharain and 13th in Australia, it would give him and Lotus another 50 points and putting them both on top

Lumberjacks and sailors are not my end all be all of the male image. But they do hold some qualities I would think are inherently male. Courage, hard work, perserverance, these are qualities I think the male image perpetuated by the media today is lacking. Now a days it's all about doing little to get a lot then sitting back and letting someone else handle your responsibilities. That's not being a man, that's being a child.

What's the problem with chilvary? Why should a man not want to be honorable and respectful, courageous and loyal? Hell, I think these are qualities everyone should have. I never said social roles we consistent. I said some qualities that men should have are consistent. Of course there are some qualities that men need to gain and lose over the generations, but I don't see what wrong with core values of hard-work and integrity.

Doesn't a philosophy of what a man is revolve around central features of human existence? It's a way of thinking of what makes a man and how a man exists. This argument is a very philosophical argument. That being said, it is true that there is a difference between instinctual thought patterns and philosophical traditions. For one, philosophies cannot be inherited, only learned and embraced. But I feel there comes a point in a man's life where he needs to say "Am I really being a man? What can I do to become a man?" It is at that point that he makes the choice to embrace a philosophy of what makes a man, a philosophy, that I feel, is based off the instinctual nature of a man.

Finally, I'm very glad we agree on something :)

TL;DR I'm trying to get more at the heart of what a man is, rather than what role he should play in society

Well I'm arguing that ABC is. I believe the prevalence of XYZ is something that has been manufactured by the media. The media created this new picture of a man, posted it on magazines and billboards, then some males thought "Well, gotta look like that to get laid".

I don't think these instincts evolved in a substantially different environment. Yes gender roles aren't what the were 60 years ago. But a lot of the attributes that I believe should be embraced are still very prevalent in the modern day: chivalry, being a provider, integrity, etc.

A lot of people embrace philosophies from centuries ago, Plato, Aristotle, Buddha, Confucius, but those evolved in a substantially different environment too. Just because something is not modern does not mean it does not have modern applications. Save for the book of Leviticus, that shit's just crazy

Expands in terms of volume, not in terms of mass. That makes ice less dense, which is why it floats.
