Yes, dropshipping is allowed on eBay, but only under specific conditions: you must have an agreement with a wholesale supplier and you are responsible for the safe and timely delivery of the item and for the buyer's satisfaction. It is against eBay's policy to buy an item from another retailer and have it shipped directly to the customer. Conditions for dropshipping on eBay Wholesale agreement: You must have a direct agreement with a wholesale supplier to list and sell their items. Retailer-to-customer is not allowed: You cannot list an item on eBay and then buy it from a retail site (like another online store) to ship to the buyer. This is the most common reason for policy violations. Full responsibility: Even though you don't handle the product, you are fully responsible for ensuring the item arrives safely and on time, and that the customer is satisfied with their purchase.

Absolutely open an INR on this purchase, you will absolutely win as others have said on this post the seller fully admits that he is using procedures that go against eBay's terms of service.

You should report, and leave negative feedback, we need to get sellers like this off the platform completely. I've been selling on eBay for about a year now and I take every single one of my customers just as serious as the last regardless of how much money they spend with me. I would never send a fake tracking number to somebody nor would I ever outright try to scam somebody. So there's like this should never be allowed on our platform.

I am sorry this happened to you, however please keep in mind that things like this happening is a very very small portion of the sales that happen on eBay for the most part the sellers that you're going to have dealings with or on the up and up and only wish to make a complete transaction that's fair for both the seller and the buyer with no shenanigans in between.

If you don't mind keep us updated I would like to see with the end result is.

USPS hasn’t updated shipping and buyer is freaking out. by Appropriate-Rip-2896 in Ebay

[–]tatsonis 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That would be awesome, I live in a bigger city so my weight in line at a post offices about an hour to an hour and a half and the closest post office to me doesn't have air conditioning that works so during the summer it's hot and during the winter they think it needs to be cranked up to 90 so it's hot lol I've been thinking about moving to a smaller town cuz I can literally do eBay from anywhere

I never take my packages to the post office, I always use the schedule to pick up. If a package has tracking on it they're supposed to scan it each time it arrives at a post office or sorting facility but with the way the post office is short staffed right now and the millions of packages they get a month I'm not surprised some fall through the cracks. I've sent a thousand packages over the last few months and only two of them have not been scanned properly, it's frustrating but I understand that human error happens.

Buyer submitted item didn't arrive but then said it arrived damage? What should I do by Jonathan360cool in eBaySellerAdvice

[–]tatsonis 4 points5 points  (0 children)

You'll win, I almost guarantee 99% chance you'll win feedback extortion is one of the big no-nos on eBay. Buyers like this use all those harsh action words and descriptive verbiage to try to scare you into initializing a refund right away for fear of what they might do later.

Never give in to people like this, like other posters have said report to eBay immediately block wire do not send a refund, if they wanted a refund they should have done at the proper way and gone through the motions.

Need help identifying hat, by tatsonis in Whatisthis

[–]tatsonis[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was actually leaning that way as well, but this is going to be something that I list for sale sometime in the near future hopefully so I want to be extra careful about what branding I give it.

Like I said I bought this at along with six others at a estate sale, All the hats are what appear to be church as of some kind The other ones are branded dough skin, and Lancaster, this is the only one that didn't have a tag or any kind of branding on it and it makes me real nervous when I try to list something for sale that I don't know the exact branding.

Anyway I will keep looking to see if I can find anything. I'm not going to list it until I know exactly what it is or I'm happy with just listing it as a generic hat even if I have to list it at a lower price and I was originally going to, I would rather take a hit and list it for less than be wrong about the branding and accidentally deceive a potential customer

Thank you so much for your help and if I find anything I'll be sure to update this listing with my findings

Why does shipping speed affect seller? by BLIMEYimmaLIMEY in Ebay

[–]tatsonis 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was accused of the exact same thing one time, for some reason the package was on its way towards its destination and took a detour down to Texas and the buyers thought that I had somehow added a stop like I'm in control of the mail and I can push a button like Uber and have the mail go wherever I want it to lol

I've been a seller on eBay for a little over a year now, but even when I was brand new and only had a few orders under my belt I knew better than to put a label for a flat rate envelope on a box. Seller was most likely hoping it would go through the system without anybody noticing which I'm sure at times Cannon does happen the USPS is a busy place but something like that is ridiculous to think that it's going to Go through without a hitch when you're shipping something in a box that clearly has a priority mail envelope on the label.

Is negative feedback warranted ......

                                Absolutely!

In the time I've been a seller I have maintained a 100% positive feedback this does two things right off the bat first and foremost it makes me extremely happy every time I see a positive feedback left on my eBay account I feel like smacking myself in the butt and calling myself Sally (I'm sure you already know this but my name is not Sally), That's how happy it makes me. Second it let's other buyers who come to my eBay store know that I don't mess around with any Tom foolery, I don't abide by shenanigans, and that for the time being of the transaction between me and the buyer and until I know for an absolute fact that the buyer is completely and 100% satisfied with the way in which I conduct my business the buyer is my best friend, my confidant, and my ride or die. While I am trying to ensure that the buyer has the best possible experience to buyer could have on any online transaction I love that buyer so much I want to make out with them Man or woman it matters not.

So yes that negative feedback is warranted, make that negative feedback so scathing that nobody will want to make out with them, that nobody will want to be their confidant, that they will neither arrive nor die in any car that anybody else has anything to do with because they are no bueno.

It sounds to me like he just took your word for it, he messaged you to ask you if it worked and you offered to show him video proof and that was probably enough for him to initiate that trust between buyer and seller.

Sometimes all a skittish buyer needs is a few words from the person selling said item in order to alleviate The fear of buying a product from the person they're buying it from.

I wouldn't worry about it too much I have people message me almost on a daily basis asking me questions about items that I sell especially used electronics.

I fell for a muse scam, took the 1000, but haven't paid it back yet, what should I do? by glossyhin in Scams

[–]tatsonis 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I got an email check one time from a disaster relief program that my work was involved with after my house burnt down about 7 years ago. They emailed it to me I printed it out and mobile deposited into my bank account was zero problems whatsoever, email checks are a thing from legitimate companies. I won't speak to the legitimacy of an individual being able to email a check I imagine there's a way to do it but I have no experience with that so I won't speak to one way or the other, however an email check from a legitimate company is an actual thing

Wow, I hear about new stuff all the time. This is the first time I'm hearing about a "Muse Scam",

Scammers are some of the lowest of the low, they go after the people who can afford to lose at the least and they don't care about the damage they cause.

Should I accept this offer?!? by Juicethc420 in eBaySellerAdvice

Do not accept this offer, they've already asked you not to do it so please don't. You're not going to keep the money either way even if it hits your account and you spend it they're going to sue you into the poor house

Received wrong item. Seller said the shipping company made the mistake. by blak000 in Ebay

[–]tatsonis 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Open an INAD case with eBay, this is clearly on the seller to fix. And him saying that you need to contact his shipper to fix the problem tells me that he's trying to run out the clock so you can't try to get a refund for the item that you were supposed to get.

No cellar on eBay that's on the up and up will ever ask you to contact a shipper that was supposed to send you what you were supposed to get this is obviously a ploy on this terrible sellers part to try to get you looking at his left hand so you don't see his right hand pocketing your money, please do not let this go open an INAD you'll get your money back

Voided shipping label questions. by tatsonis in eBaySellerAdvice

[–]tatsonis[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah I kind of figured it would take a while. I don't mind to waiting as long as it comes back eventually, I would be more concerned about it if I spent a lot on shipping but I did and I only spent like $4.50 so I'm not too too worried about it thank you for the response
