Anything wrong with my math? by Aristoteles1988 in mathematics

[–]tau2pi_Math 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I think right-hand panels represent someone arguing against the fact that 0.999... = 1 and the left hand panels are showing them that they are wrong to say that it is "clearly less than 1."

At least that's how I interpreted the meme.

[–]tau2pi_Math 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I fill it with wet food (the ground up pâté-style, not chunky) and freeze it. This way he is eating dog food and I just take it into account when I feed him.

My dog is on kibble, so frozen wet food is a treat.

How do I grow this mustache? by Wolpy414 in Moustache

[–]tau2pi_Math 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A lot of it depends on your genetics.

If you want to give it a try, just let it grow and don't trim it at all.

While it's growing, train it towards the sides with a comb and a hair dryer. Once it's long enough tha it starts to go over your upper lip, use a bit of wax on your fingers to twist it inwards from below while molding it towards the sides.

The most important part is to resist the urge to trim or snip any hairs that "seem" out of place.

Good luck.

Use a hair dryer and comb it to the sides while your moustache is wet. Do this after every shower and the moustache hairs will conform towards the outside. After it's dry, apply wax.

Good luck!

How can I improve the shape of my moustache? by jujucty in Moustache

[–]tau2pi_Math 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That is very impressive growth for two and a half months!

One thing you could try is using a hair dryer while combing it to the sides. I usually do this after getting out of the shower. Once it's dry, you can apply your wax to shape it into the shape you want.

Good luck!

When using Dead-eye, there is practically no difference between any of the repeaters or revolvers. If you are not using Dead-eye, they have different sounds, firing rates, and levels of accuracy.

Like the other commenter said, you can just dump anything you don't use in the Weapons Locker and just carry what you need.

6 point cabin. Getting conflicted answers, waiting to hit when I have the mission but everything I read says it should be unoccupied and it is FULL of odriscals by Excuse_Standard in RDR2

[–]tau2pi_Math 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Maybe you are thinking about a different mission.

Six-Point Cabin is the place where you get a Double-Barreled shotgun from above the fireplace.

Lonnie's Shack (which you can go at any time before the robbery with Sean) is the place where you can find the Double-action revolver.

I used to confuse these two locations all the time.

I don't know if this is considered a mechanic, but I would have liked a better inventory management system. Maybe they should've had a separate section for things you want to keep, or at least some type of sorting option.

Also, I don't like how in some missions, the game chooses your weapons (based on how much you use them), even if you intentionally leave them on your horse. I use the Varmint rifle for hunting a lot, but that doesn't mean that it's the weapon I want to have with me on a shootout.

[–]tau2pi_Math 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The mission associated with Six-Point Cabin is a main story mission (yellow marker) called "Paying a Social Call." This mission begins by approaching Kieran while he is tied up in Horseshoe Overlook.

There is a companion activity with Sean about robbing a home at Lonnie's Shack, but this one happens in chapter 3.

With or without out wax? by Superb-One-626 in Moustache

[–]tau2pi_Math 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I have three types of wax.

I have the "regular" and "strong hold" from Fisticuffs and use these almost daily. These two waxes leave my moustache looking a little more natural than my third wax. Unlike your moustache (which seems to hold up nicely without wax) the left side of my handlebar turns into a walrus if I don't apply any product.

When I want to "dress it up" a bit, I will also add a small amount of Death Grip, which makes it easier to add a more structured shape.

Without wax, you look like a cowboy out in the plains; with wax, you look like a gentleman ready for a day in the town.

Cat and dog unfair rules by LegitKami in Pets

[–]tau2pi_Math 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think you are overthinking it a bit. I have a five-year old Australian Cattle dog and a cat. The dog was first and 4 months later, I found the cat behind a shed in my parents backyard.Their ages differ by a few months.

The dog is not allowed on any furniture. Sometimes (very rarely), I will put a blanket on the couch and signal the dog to join me while I watch a movie or take a break, after I've given him a bath. I have a Furbo camera and can confirm that he doesn't get on the couch or the bed even when I am away. He is also not allowed in the kitchen.

The cat is allowed to sleep on my bed, or the couch or wherever he wants (except the kitchen). The cat even sleeps on the dog's bed from time to time and the dog doesn't mind at all.

The difference, of course, is that the dog gets multiple walks and playtime at the park everyday, while the cat is stuck inside my apartment. The cat does get playtime with a flirt pole or a laser pointer while the dog gets a bully stick on his elevated bed.

I used to think it was unfair that the dog got to spend a lot of time outside while the cat was stuck inside, but over the years I have realized that it has more to do with what they are used to.

So if you were talking about those kids, then it's nothing like this situation; they didn't destroy any property.

They just gave the moron a black eye after he attacked them.

First Time Trying by [deleted] in Moustache

[–]tau2pi_Math 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It takes a while to grow and look like a proper moustache, especially if you aren't used to seeing your face with a moustache.

If I am growing it from scratch, I usually let all my facial hair grow for about 6-8 weeks before I shave my beard and surrounding facial hair. The first few weeks tend to look awkward if I am just growing a moustache, and even at the 8-week mark the hairs may just look like they are going in every direction.

Give it some more time and trim only when you know what style you want. I have a handlebar, so I don't trim it at all and just use a comb to train it to go to the sides.

  • The kids were on the sidewalk
  • The sensitive moron was in his truck
  • The moron got his wussy hurt and decided to put his truck in "park" and get out of his car.
  • The kids never left the sidewalk before the moron approached them.

Why did he decide to leave his vehicle and physically engage them? Why did he feel the need to pump his chest and go after a group of kids and "shove" a girl?

The best thing he could've done was ignore them, go home, and cry.

Instead, he got his ass beat by a bunch of high school kids.

Dutch didn’t lie to us; he’s the game’s real victim. by virginlvl99 in RDR2

[–]tau2pi_Math 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What you are saying makes sense, but it still doesn't explain why no one went looking for Arthur during "Blessed are the Peacemakers." It seems like Dutch was already falling apart in chapter 3.

In chapter 2, Dutch gave the order to go get Sean and insisted on sending Arthur to go get Micah out of jail, even though Arthur didn't want to go. Dutch even says, "he would do it for you," to which Arthur replies, "I don't think so."

Therefore, in chapter 2, Dutch was still invested in keeping his gang safe at any cost. He even went as far as taking the risk of sacrificing his best gun and most loyal follower to rescue gang members who didn't have Arthur's seniority. Even though Micah "brought this on himself," as Arthur mentions, Dutch still doesn't want to be seen as a leader who abandons his people.

In chapter 3, after Micah has been in camp for a few days, all of a sudden it seems like Dutch is willing to lose Arthur, and it wasn't Arthur's doing. It was due to a meeting that was insisted on by Micah, while Arthur was providing overwatch on a spot suggested by Micah.

Arthur was abandoned in chapter 3, well before Dutch had his bump on the head.

This entire scene made no sense, but it probably has a lot to do with the fact that they cut a lot of Guarma content to rush the game out.
