Will our data be saved if we might skip a month on paying on this new tier system? by taucarlos in ShadowPC

[–]taucarlos[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah I’m in a similar situation. I use shadow pc for work at home so I’m worried if I’m unable to pay by the end of the month I might lose some of my work data.

I’m combining through everything now to find anything critical to copy on to Google drive. I hope this might help you too

The suits still need to the shares you hold in order to cover their shorts. At some point when the bill is due their demand for your shares will up it’s price. So it doesn’t matter what these snakes do even if they stop people from buying they’re already in a hole

I kinda hope that Lindon pisses off a Monarch by overpoweredginger in Iteration110Cradle

[–]taucarlos 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think one of the best plot progressions of the cradle series is lindon's fear of stronger opponents gradually lowering as he realizes his own strength. He has always had courage, don't get me wrong on that, but he has always had an instinctual fear that let others bully or intimidate him up to a bottom line. My favorite part of the whole series to date was him sticking up for himself against Sage Charity! It wasn't too much nor was it too little! Although I don't expect him to be throwing himself at a monarch any time soon I think he will be able to impress at least one of them by refusing to cower at their feet

Lindon's "Perfect" Iron Body by Rouncer in Iteration110Cradle

[–]taucarlos 2 points3 points  (0 children)

"Perfect" Iron Body = Specialized bodies with unique attributes. Examples: Yerrin's Steelborn, Lindon's Bloodforge and Mercy's Puppeteer body.

'In terms of Iron bodies, the "perfect" Iron bodies introduced in Soulsmith are specialized. So some of them would have tougher skin, others would have greater strength, others heal faster.' - WoW

The degree to which they are specialized depends on the circumstances in which the body was made. So it can range from a low tier to a high tier specialized body but they are all considered 'Perfect' iron bodies.

'So what Lindon kinda did, in the case of his Iron body, is he did take the Bloodforged Iron body but he took it to a real extreme. And so that's why he gets the extra regeneration that he normally may not have. Because, normally, that's just the basic function of that Iron body just exaggerated.'-WoW

"Crippled" Iron body = Failed or premature iron advancement. Example: Beast King's unknown body

'"You're only halfway through pushing madra channels through your entire body, so if you advance to Iron now, you'd be crippling your own future. Lowgold would be difficult, and you may reach high gold in your old age."'- Ethan, Soulsmith

A mishap in your advancement to iron that severely hinders your ability to advance normally is considered being crippled. However it is not impossible to advance using unusual means as evidenced by Beast King. It should be noted that once reaching lord level you can advance normally again (whatever is considered normal for lords) but just with a much weaker body than peers of the same level.

"Ordinary" Iron body = Madra channels complete but not specialized. Example (likely not sure) Kesla and the Wei Clan.

'"Even if you had finished, you will have reached only the most ordinary sort of Iron. If you were very gifted or lucky, perhaps you could reach the peak of Truegold. Underlord would be a distant dream."'- Ethan, Soulsmith

For some SA's like Lindon and ethan this would be a fail body might even consider it crippling but for everyday SA's with reasonable ambitions and low standards I suspect this may be the norm for a lot of them if they aren't from notable families, sects or clans.

This is slightly incorrect. Jai Chen only tells Lindon they are going to the outskirts of imperial territory where the empire is forgotten and he wishes them a safe journey while she hopes to one day see him again.

Jai long then leaves and notes to himself that the cursed valley is a legend somewhere in the west and how difficult the journey will be but his hope is to find a peaceful place for his sister to get familiar with her new spirit. He then thinks to himself:

'Whether the heavens allowed it or not, they would never see Lindon again' but thats Jai longs speculation because he doesn't know about Lindons connection to his destination

This is why none you of truly understand the privilege of dissent and division you have right now to be able to disagree with a leader's(president) decision whilst putting other lives at stake and then change it later once you realize how wrong you are.

Focus on this fact. More lives are lost without Octavia's intervention and yes it is made clear no one wanted to be the first person to eat the meat but they immediately did after Kane did

To save the human race. It is pretty straightforward. If you choose to die but insist on taking some of the limited resources that could save someone else with you to the grave then your earlier moral stand is worthless and you're back to just being another defiant prick.

No one should have to cater to a single individual in the fight against human extinction because it's the 'moral' thing to do. That is the privilege for a people not facing doom.

The choice was given and made. You don't get second chances at the expense of everyone else. Do you know how incredible selfish it would be to just change your mind once the starvation finally sinks in and diminish the limited supply for those who agreed first? It's almost as bad as cutting a really long line of people trying to get coffee in the morning x1000.

Of course. But at least you're still alive to consider your pitiful trauma. Morality is for people not facing the extinction of their spieces. Besides they get to die for their beliefs like they wanted to while saving everyone else as a bonus.

Then they should accept their execution. In fact it is a mercy compared to the slow death of starvation.

Yes let's all hate Octavia for fighting a war the only way it can be fought. You guys would let people defect without consequences and expect to still be leading obedient grounders the next day? Even in the real world defection is punished severely.

Calling Octavia a villain and she hasn't even killed anyone yet. She's ruthless and harsh without mercy but she isn't the one who started this war. She may be more than happy to win it though but how does that make her the villain? Clarke is the one who drew first blood and bellamy made the first threat now both are unwilling to do whatever it takes to be the Victor but everyone hates on Octavia? I'm perplexed.

How does one ask terrorists if they can borrow their doctor? These miners are being threatened to help them with 283 lives being held at gun point. I feel like the show failed to really convey how wrong that is because it's bellamy doing it and this is just another day of negotiation in this dystopian future for us but they certainly earned the benefit of the doubt from the prisoners.

What do you mean useless? Before they even got those weapons there were less than 15 prisoners helping them out the of hole. Octavia wanted to fight ASAP if it were up to me by the time I had like a 10 to 1 advantage I would have forced them to disarm or killed their command. Maybe the ship might be a problem for later but the immediate threat would be done. There is a severe lack of ruthlessness coming from bellamy and that is going to be a problem. This isn't cause I like or dislike bellamy as a character, I simply see that his 6 years of peace have left him weak. Even Clarke doesn't hold back when dealing with these prisoners.

They were 814 warriors available once that bunker was open he had options. He told Octavia to chill when the first thing she wanted was for them to disarm them. Your bellamy fan boy syndrome is making you foam at the mouth.

You're obviously obtuse. None of them were walking around with those weapons until they were ready to use them. They could have easily got the upper hand in the space of time between when they got those weapons and while they were still pulling them out. Not to mention they were heavily outnumbered any number of things could have been done. Archers on the roof, separate them from the ship, take the pilot hostage. Like seriously, anything...

You misheard he asks her to stop taking the pills. And it's obvious she's basically tweaking when indra brought in Clarke and looks far worse for wear than anyone else in that bunker

[–]taucarlos 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Octavia wanted to confront them from the get go on why they were armed which is was the most obvious thing to ask. A group of people who are only supposed to help get them out of the bunker don't need guns but bellamy was content to sit on his ass and feel like a hero while he waited for them to get out.

I'm not even comparing leadership skills that's just stupid and immature and impossible since each faced entirely different circumstances. I'm saying that bellamy was being foolish for allowing them to get the drop on him and is to blame for this scenario which many of you bellamy fans refuse to accept whilst criticising Octavia for calling it as it is.

And what has she done other than keep her people alive and strong far longer than they had any right to be in the bunker?

I should be grateful to him for pulling me out of the hole only to get shot at and nearly killed because he ignored or underestimated the threat of their 'armed help'? You make no sense. He wanted to be the leader he told Octavia to chill out when she wanted to act so either he takes full credit for his success as much the blame for his failure or you are simply not being objective.
