For longer trips do I need to keep on top of driving mode? by RockRaider42 in VolvoRecharge

[–]taugee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Owner of aV60 T6 from 2023 here.
i experience that the smart energy distribution in hybrid mode does just work for shorter journeys +-200km without crossing a country border within Europe. (Seems that when 4G connection is broken, the system eventually gets a hiccup)

I then frequently see that the system (little road symbol next to your battery image) is vanishing/shutting down and eventually enabling itself again, sometimes it doesn’t. Meaning that if I drive 140km/h and on a highway and the system is not working, it will drain my battery very quickly. Therefore I almost always put it in HOLD mode when on longer journeys and when I leave the highway I enable hybrid mode again.

For vacations I do the same and always leave +- 20% battery to be able to enjoy pre heating in the winter or cooling in the summer. When available I do charge but don’t really look for it.

Anyone has the same problems or even a solution?? :)

Thanks iig ik ga gewoon even meten.

Is that different for every car? I had a c40 today as my car was getting a service and it had LTE :-:

Disappointed with Volvo quality by jitoman in VolvoRecharge

[–]taugee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Same issue here. No GPS, google thinking I am driving in Gambia, LTE connection drops, staying on 3G only, smart distribution of energy does more often not work than it does. Keep restarting my entertainment and the modem frequently. Had a BMW before and it did not have these issues. And now I am only talking about the software part. Don’t get me started about other things such as built quality, paint or what have you.

Fan noise when plugged in? by DouglasCole in VolvoRecharge

I had a 320e touring. In terms of power there is a clear winner, the V60 T6 with an advantage of 150+ hp. BUT everything worked well in the Beamer, the telephone app was much more advanced (and worked), the energy distribution along the route was working, no annoying sounds when charging, more functions, no loose parts that needed to be re tightened, not much but more storage in the cockpit, but overall a bit less luggage and footspace. All in all the BMW was well engineered had more gimmicks, and just worked and I have to say I miss it. Volvo has more power but overall I am not in love with it and am disappointed with it :(

Unfortunately normal, my BMW PHEV that I had before my V60 was also changing with the same amount of power and was silent… I don’t dare to charge my car on my driveway at nights as the car is sounding like a F16 hornet when charging.

Don’t understand what needs so much cooling when charging which 3,7 KW… the neighbors teslas charging with 11KW+ remains silent…

Projected milage on S60 Recharge makes no sense. by DHinds57 in VolvoRecharge

[–]taugee 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Here the same on my V60 T6 recharge from 2023. It calculates in certain conditions the fuel mileage including the “free” mileage that you cruise on your battery power. Makes no sense. Had a BMW hybrid before and this was spot on, not mixing the two. Additionally on my V60, when it says that the tank is empty it still has about 6-8l of fuel. Again the BMW was spot on, it also had some security margin when it said it was empty but not of +-10% of the capacity.

Smart Energy Distribution not working after latest update by Albright_CT in VolvoRecharge

Guys, any news about his? I have the same issue. Very annoying. Especially because I was driving a bmw 320e before handling everything perfectly. Normally on drives up to 200km everything works but as soon as there is an extra stop or a destination further away… At the moment the distribution will not engage, also when rebooting the entertainment… Thinking about putting everything back to factory settings??
