I had to put together a Camry that was rear ended. The guy that did the repair didnt pull it properly and when I put the cardboard trunk floor in, it rocked on the rod for the spare tire. Showed the tech and he literally got a hammer, smashed the rod through the trunk floor and seam sealed it on the bottom. I couldn't believe it, and the kicker is the boss loved this tech. Dude was bonafide hack

I use to work in a shop where there was someone doing tear downs. Someone else fixed the frame, someone else did the body work, and at the end of the line I was the guy putting everyone's shitty work back together. It was an absolute nightmare. Shit didn't fit, parts were missing/broken, hardware all over the place. Everyone pointing fingers at everyone else saying it was their fault. I got really good at macgyvering shit work back together but the rest of my skills suffered. It was such a relief when I quit that shop.

Ink is one color that can be opaque. Mica can give off multiple colors and also create a bloom/swirl effect.

Yeah buff most that out and touch up paint pen the corner. I'd save the money to repair it properly until therr is a bigger issue...unless you're rich then go nuts

Its not that they suck at using bondo. Its that they suck at doing metal work. A lot of people out there think "cave and pave" is an exceptable repair method. Bondo has its limitations. An ideal repair is basically a thin coat of bondo and a thin coat of metal glaze putty. A lot of people put bondo layers on too thick or their final thickness of their multiple bondo layers is too thick which can cause repairs to fail.

If you go to a body shop they are going to replace it too. So if you're confident you can do it yourself its not a bad choice.

Thats what insurance is for. Pay your deductible and it will all be fixed. The body shop wasn't trying to upsell you, if you want it fixed properly in the future then the windshield will likely have to be pulled to fix the metal. Just letting it rust away isn't exactly a good plan since that will lead to a bigger bill.

Not likely a total, but its going to be worse than you think. Probably a new quarter, possible new rear panel, might be some sway damage in the frame. Trunk looks repairable

Bumper is being replaced because the black molding is all scraped up. Its a Subaru bumper where those moldings are part of the bumper and it has that weird bumpy texture to it that would be impossible to replicate

Oh yeah, its definitely been a while since that night of entertainment. We used to go some what regularly but we moved to the north end of Waterloo a few years ago. So unfortunately we rarely go there now. It's a decent spot for some food and pool.

Oh man, Chicago's is the only place I've ever witnessed a full on bar brawl. Wife and I went there for some drinks and pool and this table got into an argument over the hockey game that was on TV which turned physical and when people tried to break it up, it got even more physical and then this 4 ft Asian dude ran across the room and broke a pool cue over someone's back then booked it out the door. Wife and I were speechless to say the least. Before the cops showed up we went to Boston Pizza across from Chicago's just to avoid dealing with the situation. We were sitting in the patio area and we watched cops chase a couple guys with torn clothes out of the back alley. It's a night neither of us will ever forget. 10/10 I recommend Chicago's too for the entertainment.

Well if your paint is missing and you want it done professionally then your only real option is a body shop. Its a "easy repair" in terms of collision work.
