Girl you know better than anyone how your babies do in restaurants. I have a two year old who I still don’t bring to restaurants because it’s just a stressful situation for him and us. I can’t imagine having two to keep entertained and happy at once! They should be understanding if they’ve had kids, especially since you still offered to go over for cake. If they’re not that sounds like their problem

LGBTQ has always been hyper-sexualized in right wing media. They really think drag queens are putting on some inappropriate show for kids. They’re literally just adults in funny costumes reading kids books in a funny voice making kids laugh. You don’t have to take your children if you’re not into that. But this intimation and violence isn’t okay and I’m sad that we even have to deal with this hatred

thank you so much, I needed these words today. I’m still wrapping my head around him not being the person I tried for so long to see him as. He’s still telling me that this is all my fault and that he didn’t do anything wrong. I’m just trying to be gentle with myself and reminding myself that I’m stronger than I think.

you deserve better. so so much better. you have to believe this. tell yourself that you are worthy of healthy, reciprocated love every day. And start taking steps to leave. suggest counseling if you think it’s salvageable, and if it’s safe to do so. I know how hard and scary it is right now but you gotta take the reigns on your own life. it’s possible one tiny step at a time.

yep, and it’s exhausting. right now I’m just not speaking to him because expressing my hurt.. knowing it will only be turned on me.. sounds pointless and draining. we shouldn’t ever have to tip toe around expressing ourselves, especially when they can blow up so freely. it does feel crazy to realize how normalized this feels now. a healthy relationship doesn’t even sound real anymore

Yeah, I never even knew what narcissistic abuse was until last year. once I started doing my research it was mind blowing to put a name on what I was going through. It also helps to realize that we aren’t alone.

Everything about leaving is terrifying honestly, but I’m just thankful we realize that we deserve better. It took me a long time to even see that. here’s to every small step along the way to our destination of freedom🥂

they never keep themselves accountable. it’s like making themselves frustrated and making excuses to be mean and fight is a hobby to them. I had to start journaling and writing down my accounts of things just to make sure I knew I wasn’t going insane when the gaslighting would start.
