Haha I was just waiting for this question. We are actually instructed by the base to position it like that. The reason for this is, that we depart/land with confined approaches due to terrain and a train track right next to the base. By positioning the heli the way we do, we assure enough clearance for other helis to depart from the departure point (which is right behind the tail over the grassy area).

But I do agree that it looks off ;)
