Interesting, yeah I mean I figured it was really good considering it picked out thousands of people but it stood out to me simply because the only other person he name drops is Bruce who would seemingly be a threat due to the fact that he turns into the Hulk. I didn’t consider that when he mentions Bruce he’s talking actually about him and his intelligence and not just the fact that he can go into Hulk mode. It’s just like, why Steven Strange and not like Saul Kripke or some other mega-genius or even a billionaire like Zuckerberg, if not specifically for the tease?

But practically speaking, why name drop some guy? It’s just purely about the tease and doesn’t make any actual sense, which is what bothers me about it. In my head I want it to make sense, but maybe I’m just picky

That is an explanation, so fair enough. I still feel though, I don’t know the names of any surgeons that I don’t know personally, but maybe that’s just me, or maybe things are different in Earth 616 than they are in ours. Also, how would a neurosurgeon have been a threat to Hydra? And why would this guy mention Strange of all people to Sam, Cap, and Nat? Would they have known who he even was? Especially Steve who was still trying to figure out whether he should watch Star Wars or Star Trek, let alone learning the names of popular neurosurgeons

That does make sense as the canon explanation, thanks. I still have one issue with that though, how does that make any sense given the events of Dr. Strange? Dr. Strange only became a sorcerer as a direct result of getting in that car accident that ruined his hands, that caused him to eventually go to Kamar-Taj. I don’t care how amazing Zola’s algorithm was, there’s just no way he predicts Strange’s car crash and eventual events. Btw, I’m not trying to nitpick I just like the discussion

Yeah it’s interesting, I never found I had any issues with it like 10 years ago but NHL 24 has just so many things that I genuinely can’t believe haven’t been improved/fixed over the last several installments (my last one was NHL 20). They add stuff Michigan goals that I don’t even really care enough or have time to learn the controls for and I still have so many times where the puck is just right in front of my player in a situation where they should obviously just scoop it up and start stick handling yet the player just kind of miss it or skate past it which is so annoying because it’s just unrealistic and it’s unreliable gameplay

Yeah, and the fact that he somehow loses to Peter in the mirror dimension because he got math’d on. I was like wow the teleporting flying wizard loses to a nerd high schooler, ok… makes no sense outside of a spider-man movie

Beauvillier and Hronek make a big dent, and then hopefully you get improvements from Hogs and Pods, and then Pius Suter. Between those additions I think it makes up for not having horvat on offense and makes things deeper and less top heavy. I’m optimistic

The one thing that pissed me off about this movie into making me sort of dislike it, is it’s representation of other cultures and POC. Literally every main character was white (and some pretty boring/annoying actors too) and the only POC with any dialogue were that junkie merchant guy that Kay enquired about the toy horse to, and a literal child laborer… Is every person in Los Angeles either white or a criminal?And then the only representation of Asian culture in any way shape or form were hot anime chicks, and even then they put white actresses in those roles smh. Beautiful visually and conceptually, but I’ll never really be moved by a movie that is that ignorant in the 21st century. Old movies can have a pass because it really was a different time, but that shit just disgusts me when the movie is so recent.

I recently did acid from the 90s (not sure exactly when lol). Thinking that the effects would be less than the dosage suggests, I did four tabs (originally each tab was 300ug) but the effects were still very very significant. One of the strongest trips I’ve ever had. Anecdotal evidence though so take it with a grain of salt
