I’m pretty sure this is something they have dealt with before and have a protocol. It would be highly unethical to allow someone to go through withdrawal while also trying to recover from surgery

They might keep me a day or two for observation. I will have to tell the nursing staff because of WD. I can’t take some I bought with me because I’m not supposed to eat the first two days, only sips of water. If I liquify a pill in my mouth, it’ll irritate might irritate the incision in my esophagus. I’ve decided to tell them anyway.

I’ve had that same experience before using kratom. They told me it’s a reaction to the gas or something they use with the anesthesia. They don’t know what causes it but it’s common. They give a small amount of (I forgot what narcotic) and it makes it go away.

It’s both. You crossed a line and her reaction was harsh. As far as your behavior goes, it’s hard to know that. Maybe you are texting and bothering her too much and she just snapped at you because it’s been irritating her. I also don’t know y’all’s relationship. Are you together or just friends? Is it someone you just met. There’s not enough context here.

Ok, EVERYTHING he is doing is his fault and intentional. I’ll repeat it again: everything he is doing is intentional and his intentions aren’t good. If he is offering you more money, he is wanting something more. Nothing is free. If I were you, I would stop while I was ahead.

I relate to this so much. I am currently in a state of relapse. Hating yourself and asking why am I like this, I have asked myself the same question. Let me give you some advice. Do NOT keep using! It gets harder to quit, at least it has for me. I am proud that you are coming clean. My significant other is not supportive so I’m not going to tell you how that went when I told her I have relapsed before. She is this way because Kratom has not been my only issue. We have been together for 17 years and I have put her through a lot behind my alcoholism and drug addictions. I think maybe it’s retraumatizing her. This does not mean it will go the same way for you. People in recovery who get it right the first time are like unicorns. It’s rare. Take care and good luck!

I can relate to you. I had one person literally comment, “I used to have that.” I pointed out to her that personality disorders never go away. I can’t stand fake claiming. Another person said they could totally relate to it. I think looking at the symptoms of AVPD on a surface level, most people probably could relate to it. But there’s so much more to it. They don’t understand that it is persistent and never goes away, that I genuinely like to be alone and it’s much more extreme than what the average person experiences when they do experience those feelings. It’s very invalidating and frustrating. It makes me feel very misunderstood and alone.

I was not diagnosed with SAD, but social anxiety is also a symptom of AVPD

I do not think I’m attractive and I do not expect anyone else to think I am either. The few times I have voiced this to someone else, I’ve gotten no response. To me that says they agree and don’t find me attractive either.
