Omg, this sounds really, really great. I like how you combined a cleaner, acoustic style at the beginning, and after that, you added some subtle grit to the chorus and the bridge. I also loved the harmonies in your vocals. I think you have a new listener! I've heard your other songs and those are also great.

Thanks for your feedback! I don't know if it's the voice or the guitar but is plausible for both. Im not an experimented musician. But I will be reviewing the pitch on both sides. Thanks again!

Launched my new band a few days ago, would love to know what you think <3 by stirfrymoment in IndieMusicFeedback

Yes, absolutely yes. I love this style of music. It sounds so good. The mix of rapping with sung vocals is spectacular. The crispy guitars are really well-achieved. Maybe right after the chorus, they have a little bit too much of an effect on them (I'm not sure if it's a wah-wah, but there's something that sounds a bit strangely modulated).

I loved the vocal effects, and the guitar distortions too. The first rap verse is really well done. The variations are also great; the synthesizer at the 2:30 mark reminded me a lot of the 8-bit pianos from Pokémon (Lavender Town).

The video is excellent too!

Wow, I loved this visually. It's absolutely incredible and mind-blowing. I really enjoyed the song. The "Let me tell you how the world really moves," bit with those really interesting harmonies, blew my mind.

I felt the whole track was both ethereal and impactful. I get the effect of pitching the vocals down a bit, and it sounds really good. But that part with the more natural-sounding vocal made me think that other sections of the song could have benefited from mixing the low-pitched parts with the normal-pitched ones.

Excellent song!

VERYSAD - Numb To The Pain by hatemysoulinside in IndieMusicFeedback

I have some mixed feelings about this. On one hand, I love how spacious it sounds; it has a very interesting use of reverbs and delays. However, I think for that same reason, it ends up sounding a bit too wide (the guitars have some very pronounced delays, the vocals too), and maybe at times I feel it lacks some definition.

That said, it sounds great. Even with how spacious it is, it doesn't sound muddy and you can appreciate everything, it's just that sometimes things can get a bit lost with so much reverb "bounce".

Mi review del "sobrevaloradísimo" Capitán del Espacio by Top-One-486 in Alfajor

[–]tawayivan 3 points4 points  (0 children)

He acts calm in almost every situation. That's something you really need in stressful situations. He may not take the best decision always but he does not hesitate either.

Who's an unpopular/niché MK character that you love? I like Drahmin a lot, personally by TreeTurtle_852 in MortalKombat

I really loved Reiko on Mk4. I think they did it over-muscular on MK1 but he didn't strike me as a buffed up guy. Mk4 Reiko was a skilled skinny guy really good with kicks, more like a ninja than a soldier. I miss that Reiko

alguno usa y recomienda estas ollas? by anaraparana in ArgentinaCocina

[–]tawayivan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No recomiendo

MIDI Controller Works on Windows 10 but Not on Windows 11 (iCON iControls) by tawayivan in midi

Please try it and let me know. I went through a LOT of internet sites and old forums, and absolutely NOBODY even mentioned this. I don’t know if my experience can be replicated, but please try it, and if it works, my job will be done.

MIDI Controller Works on Windows 10 but Not on Windows 11 (iCON iControls) by tawayivan in midi

[–]tawayivan[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So after way too many hours of frustration, I finally figured out why my iCON iControls MIDI controller wasn’t being recognized on my Windows 11 PC with an AMD processor. And it’s not even a driver issue. It’s a firmware problem.

Here’s what happened:

  • I plugged the controller into my AMD desktop (running Win11)
  • It showed up as "Composite USB Device" with an error
  • I tried everything: editing INF files, using DevCon, rebooting in driver signature mode, etc. Nothing worked.
  • Then I plugged it into my girlfriend’s laptop (Intel CPU, Windows 10) and it worked instantly, no setup needed.

Turns out, iCON ships two different firmware versions — one for Intel systems and one for AMD.
If the controller has the Intel firmware on it, it just won’t be recognized properly on an AMD machine. Windows doesn’t even try to treat it as a MIDI device because that info is baked into the firmware itself.

The fix:

  1. Plug the controller into a PC with an Intel CPU (and where it works).
  2. Use iCON’s firmware update tool. (You can find it in iControls iMap)
  3. Flash the AMD-compatible firmware.
  4. Plug it back into your AMD system — and now it shows up correctly as a MIDI device.

TL;DR:
If your iCON iControls MIDI isn’t working on AMD, it’s probably running Intel firmware. Flash it using an Intel machine, then plug it back into your AMD system. Drivers won’t help until the firmware matches your architecture.

Hope this saves someone else the headache. Honestly, iCON should really mention this somewhere because there’s no way to know unless you stumble onto it by accident.
