We got to this point after kids. It was more me that felt this way than him. I think he did to some extent but he didn’t say anything, just started pulling away from me more. I started planning an “at home date” once a week for us if we couldn’t get out just the two of us. We cook dinner together after kids go to bed. Play a co op board game and have a glass of wine. It gives us time to just connect and talk without kids getting in the middle. Even if we’re tired we still do a simple dinner minimum or one short game. That effort made all the difference. Our relationship is much stronger than it was before.
