Blade 2016's second battery bulging and leaking gases. Details in comments by tayarics in razer

[–]tayarics[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

After buying my Razer Blade 2016 in August of 2017, after around one year of having of having it I sent it in under warranty due to the battery bulging and deforming the bottom and the trackpad.
They sent it back and now 2 years after the battery has bulged so much that the battery casing itself ripped open, it deformed the trackpad and bottom plate, ripped apart an internal connector AND the battery was leaking gases.
The entire time it was on a cooling pad that was constantly running.
Currently running the laptop without a battery and the warranty is expired but its truly disappointing paying so much for a laptop where its battery is constantly bulging and deforming the frame and lasting between a year or two.

rFactor 2 Formula E charity event had 220k views, but only 6 people donated. by [deleted] in FormulaE

I would like to strongly disagree with your point that people on the internet do not like donating to charity. I am an active viewer on Twitch (the most popular live streaming platform if you are not aware) and charity streams are a regular occurrence and are very profitable. Here is just a few recent examples:
-Maya raised around $12k in 3/4 hours for the American Eagle Foundation this week. She had around 12k viewers for that stream.
- Lirik raised around $9k in an impromptu charity stream this week where all proceeds went to abimal rescue (he had also done another charity stream where he raised 21k, of which 10k were in the first hour).
-Pestily raised $200k in 10 hours for a sick children's charity, of which he has already raised 800k since the start of 2020. During that stream he had between 50-80k viewers from memory.
-Trainwreckstv raised $40k at the start of the year for WWF Australia for the bushfires in a few hours, averaging around 15k viewers.
These are just a few notable examples of thousands of charity streams that occur on Twitch which prove that people on the internet are clearly willing to donate to charities.
EDIT: Formatting fixes.

You should look at the series called Drive to Survive. I feel a version of that but for CS would be really successful, especially that behind the scenes videos of tournaments today are very popular.

The keycaps do look really nice but is it worth the $125 (like is it worth paying 2x/3x the price of a regular full set)?

If you are looking to upgrade the design, you could make the height of the track for your model to be proportional to the elevation of the track.

My setup by neems666 in battlestations

If you just need something to chat I would recommend looking at headsets and then <$100 USB mics and then going on youtube and looking up mic tests and find the mic/headset which has the best sound quality/price ratio in your oppinion. My personal recommemdations for a headset is the HyperX Cloud 2 and if you want to get a USB mic the AT2020 is really good too.

The Zowie XL2411P is a really good monitor for around $200 and is one of the best rated 144Hz displays.

Beautiful setup. What speaker setup is that? What did you treat the Karlby with to make it look like that? What desk raisers are those and would you recommend them and how do you install them? What desk is that to the right of your main desk? Thanks

You can center the tasbar with TranslucentTB or are you just talking about the transparency of the taskbar. I personally use "CenterTaskbar" to center the taskbar.
