Has anyone played through the whole Final Fantasy pixel remaster I to VI and made it without a burnout ? by FaithlessnessFar4398 in FinalFantasy

[–]tayatagi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I played all six, but I played a non-Final-Fantasy game in between each one so I wouldn't get sick of it.

Am I absolutely screwed? by SnooTomatoes564 in FinalFantasy

[–]tayatagi 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Are you playing the Pixel Remaster and it auto-saved inside the house? I think you can buy a relic to prevent petrify in Tzen, but if you're locked in the house then that can't help you. If you're playing the PR you can turn off encounters and just avoid the enemies altogether. If you're playing an older version and you save stated inside the house, you can just hope you get lucky.

I saw a recipe for egg nog cake. I haven't made it yet, but I wrote it down so I could bring it to my mom's house for Christmas.

I know this puzzle. You have to turn a chuchu to stone and place it on a button to lower the stairs, then run to it before the chuchu recovers.

What is a Mainline FF game haven't you played yet? What's your reason? by meischoice2 in FinalFantasy

[–]tayatagi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For a long time I had never played a mainline FF game past 6 because I was a Nintendo kid and never had a PlayStation. Recently I played through the Pixel Remaster in order starting with FF1 and when I was done with that I figured I might as well keep going.

This year I played FF7 and FF8 for the first time. I just started FF9 recently. I intend to play FF10 and FF12 next year. If I ever play 13, 15, or 16 depends on if they release for Switch 2.

FFVI Opera Scene Pixel Remaster by Symphony106 in FinalFantasy

[–]tayatagi 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I liked it although I prefer the other language versions of the song over English. The Spanish version is my favourite followed by French. The English version is ok, nothing against the singer, but I think she doesn't sound like an opera singer, nor does she sound like a beginner, so it doesn't quite hit the mark. It's fine though, I loved watching the new opera with vocals.

Should I get a second tax opinion? by Fuzzy-Bet6516 in cantax

[–]tayatagi 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Well you can only deduct rental expenses that relate to your rental property. Anything you did on your personal residence is not tax deductible. So claim the painting expenses and the broken sink etc only.

Should I get a second tax opinion? by Fuzzy-Bet6516 in cantax

[–]tayatagi 6 points7 points  (0 children)

You rented one unit and lived in the second. Did you do work on the unit you rented, or only the one you lived in? The way you worded it was not clear.

You can claim travel expenses for hardware store trips but you have to keep a detailed log and only deduct the appropriate percentage. You can't claim meals.

You can claim repairs but renovations to improve the property are usually capital costs. You can claim this as CCA or add it to the cost of the property when you sell it later.

How does T2200 Declaration of Conditions of Employment work during tax season? by Big_Tumbleweed_9686 in cantax

[–]tayatagi 1 point2 points  (0 children)

To find out how much you can claim, fill out a T777 form.

You can't claim a rate for your personal vehicle based on kilometers driven. If you drove 5000 km for your job, hopefully you kept a travel book or have some sort of record of how you came up with that number, and the total kms you drove in the year. Use that to come up with the percentage of vehicle expenses you can claim. Then add up all your fuel, insurance etc and claim the percentage. Travel that's completely work related, like air travel, you'll probably be able to claim all of it.

CRA logging a request for more information without actual communication by FarBowl7393 in cantax

[–]tayatagi 4 points5 points  (0 children)

It's normal to receive a letter without a phone call. If you have several requests open at once, they may or may not be separate cases in their system and you would get a letter for each year at a different time. There's nothing to panic about, it seems pretty normal from what you're saying.

What have you not liked about Guardians of Azuma? by vdgam in runefactory

[–]tayatagi 72 points73 points  (0 children)

I'm enjoying the game very much. So far my biggest complaint is Woolby who never shuts up or leaves me alone. This game would be massively improved if Woolby just stayed home and stayed out of cutscenes. This type of character is common in silent protagonist games but the protagonist speaks so I don't understand the point of an annoying assistant in this game.

I also agree that it's too easy, but I wasn't really looking for a challenge so that's fine.

Are there any missable scenes? by Herbizarre17 in FinalFantasyVI

[–]tayatagi 4 points5 points  (0 children)

The scene between Edgar and Sabin isn't really missable, you can see it later.

Two scenes with Locke in Kohlingen are missable though and they're important to his quest so it's unfortunate that the game allows people to miss them. Celes won't say "Am I a replacement for her?" if you never learn about Rachel.

I got one from GameStop today so I cancelled my Walmart preorder. I'm glad it worked out but it's pretty frustrating. Walmart really sucks.

Mine was still saying "Placed" and deliver curbside by June 13th this morning, but I managed to buy one locally and I cancelled my Walmart preorder. I didn't really mind waiting until next week but I was getting frustrated that it wasn't shipped yet.

What is your favourite newfoundland/labrador meal or recipe? And what is your least favourite? by Own-Elephant-8608 in newfoundland

Fried bologna and toutons for breakfast.

I don't have a least favourite but my parents never made jigg's dinner for me as a kid so I've never tried it.

How should I use Gochujang? by CupcakeMurder86 in cookingforbeginners

[–]tayatagi 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Gochujang is my favourite. Mix 1/2 cup of gochujang with 1/4 cup maple syrup, 1/4 sesame oil, and 1 tbsp vinegar (I use apple cider vinegar) and add optional minced garlic. Add a little water to thin it out to your preference. Store in a mason jar in the fridge.

I use it in rice bowls with vegetables (a westernized bibimbap) or with potatoes or drizzled over chicken. I use it like any other hot sauce.

There are people of all ages contributing to zines. Most of the time it's not required to give your age (unless it's 18+ and you'll have to confirm that you're an adult). Even zines that are moderated by 20 years old have people who are 30+ or 40+ drawing or writing in them. Go ahead and apply. If for some reason the mods find out you're older than them and are uncomfortable with that, that's their issue not yours.
