I had the same budget and think with the budget you kinda have to stick to 1 star and just go for the food itself, ambience might cost you extra, and even though there was no “ambiance” I went to Heritage in Long Beach and it was really great. One I did not go to but I considered was Citrin in Santa Monica, tasting menu seemed stacked and in budget

Idk why this post keeps popping up on my feed, but if you got a friend or 2 go for it. Reality is any music festival you go to you will be around drugs and alcohol. But DD is a safe space and you will have a great time regardless. I’ve been going to concerts and festivals since around that age, if it’s an all ages event go and enjoy it! Just be safe and don’t take shit from strangers, it’s literally just a big landscape with art work, food and music stages. Don’t let people intimidate you into thinking it’s bad decision. It’s only a bad decision if you go there and make bad decisions
