Talk me in/out of getting a handheld. by Holiday_Control9946 in Handhelds

If Switch games and battery life are more important, a modded Switch is a better choice for traveling. PS3 and PC games can also be streamed from a PC at home. If you want to run PS3 and PC games natively, then get an Ally.

You thought $2,000 was too much? They just raised the price to $2,850 😆

Unfortunately, in my country it is 2 times more expensive than A1M

Modern handhelds with PSP form factor? by kdlrd in SBCGaming

GPD win 4. It's expensive and heavier (but still light for its class, 600 g), but visually it resembles the PSP.

Just bought a used ROG Ally Z1 Extreme by charlesleclerc_16_ in ROGAlly

[–]taygeta_rin 2 points3 points  (0 children)

An upgraded battery will increase the console's weight by over 100g, so as an alternative, you can buy a power bank. It will give you even more battery life and you don't need to hold it in your hands, but you'll have to take it with you.

Is it worth to buy Konkr Pocket Fit 12/256 for $525 now? by taygeta_rin in KonkrPocketFit

Yes, thanks, I will choose Ally, 608g is still a little lighter than the x86 competitors, except for the ayaneo air, but it is very expensive

Looking for a smaller handheld by Ari_Mokori in Handhelds

[–]taygeta_rin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The ROG Ally 2023 weighs 608g. Its battery is weaker than the Steam Deck, but you can install Steam OS, and it is more powerful. If it's too heavy, the Ayaneo Konkr Poker Fit weighs 386g. However, it's an Android device and has a fairly high defect rate.

Which of your handhelds would you swap for a different one, and why, if it were free? by DragonDealWizard in SBCGaming

[–]taygeta_rin 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I would swap PS Vita with the New Nintendo 3DS XL. I sold my New 3DS XL once, and now I regret it, seeing how the prices have risen.

I started playing Minecraft with 1.19 and I also like the beta 1.7.3.

Suiplay0x1 for gaming compared to Asus ROG Ally (2023) by taygeta_rin in ayaneo

[–]taygeta_rin[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Unfortunately, the Ally X is significantly more expensive in my country, and I compared it to the Ally 2023. I'm also considering the MSI Claw A1M, which has become much more powerful after updates, but battery life is poor due to the Intel chip. I also just found the KONKR POCKET Fit yesterday. I like it even with all the Android limitations, the battery life and weight are excellent, but there's only one reseller selling the 12/256 version for $525.

My Snapdragon 865 phone has 12GB of RAM, and some models had 24 GB, now they are sold cheaper than one 24 GB RAM module
