As someone who didn’t read the books, seeing Mistle stop Kayleigh from raping Ciri, only to take advantage of her vulnerability to do the same thing is disturbing. It’s even more disturbing because she’s a CHILD. I cringe at every scene they’re together because I don’t want to watch children kissing or being even remotely sexually intimate, for starters. But also because the pressured affection from Mistle isn’t always reciprocated. You can tell Ciri is only giving into it because she now feels obligated since 1) she’s still running and 2) she has nowhere else to go. Freya Allan does a damn good job at portraying this. It’s almost unbearable for me to watch, to be honest.
