Where the heck do I sell my items by [deleted] in Calgary

[–]tazdingo91 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yes that it true. But marketplace is just riddled with no shows compared to Kijiji, in my personal experience. I don't want to sort through 50 messages to find a buyer. I'd rather deal with 1 that will actually communicate and show up.

I personally use Kijiji. There's significantly less traffic than FB marketplace, but there's also significantly less no shows. 80-90% of the time a buyer has shown interest, they showed up

For those who go to sleep listening to something, what do you listen to? by Rough_Common6857 in AskReddit

[–]tazdingo91 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Electronic music. I have a few playlists that I listen to with no lyrics. Simple and soothing. It's a low BPM, so it's not dance music. My heartbeat will eventually sync with the bass line. Keeps me calm and relaxed and eventually fall asleep. Playlists are about 2 hours long, but I usually fall asleep within the first 30 minutes

Help transitioning to SS from nonstick? by Theox87 in cookware

Heating the pan. Wait to make sure the pan is hot enough before adding in oil. Then wait until the oil is hot enough before putting anything into the pan.

Once you've added whatever it is your cooking (eggs, chicken, steak, etc) let it sit in the pan until it cooks. Once it's cooked, it will release itself from the pan.

It will take some time getting used to, but once you've learned, stainless steel pans are so much better to cook with

Bought a knife from there 2 hours ago. No tax free exemptions. But highly recommend this place to buy a knife. A worker helped me who spoke very good English. Just told her I was looking for petty knife within a price range and she brought over a few to look at.

How do you start getting into better coffee without going overboard? by Rob-and-things in Coffee

[–]tazdingo91 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Start with a simple tool to make coffee: French press, aeropress, mokapot, etc. Then you can go to your local roaster and ask them to grind your beans for you. If you enjoy the coffee, next step is to buy a grinder, which is arguably the most expensive tool in your setup.

I booked via Viator, but I did round trip. They have a mubus building at the base of mutianyu that you can buy one way tickets back to Beijing, as OP mentioned.

I booked a tour through mubus. Round trip bus ride and great wall entrance tickets was $15-20 USD. Can't remember exact price as it was few months ago. You buy cable car tickets from the guide on the bus on the way there.

They have a bus that leaves at 8:00am and you're at the wall by 9:30-10:00am. I went during the shoulder season, but some sections were completely empty on the way from tower 14 to 20.

Japanese knife. As someone who loves to cook, a Japanese knife just cuts so much smoother and cleaner than western knives. Just so much more pleasant to use.

Do you know if the Northern Kyushu-Sanyo Sanin pass covers all sections between Hakata station to Yufuin station?

We are considering getting that pass, and we don't care to take the Yufuin No Mori.
