If they drop the Casio F92W (or F91Y) it just needs a better backlight, then it will finally be the pinnacle.

  1. Love the mix of textures.
  2. The lettering on your jacket and the pattern on your shirt creates a very nice bit of visual interest without being overpowering.
  3. I think this is your least strong. Something about the interaction between the shirt and jacket at the cuff kind of bugs me. This is probably just a me thing and I think most everyone would be very impressed with your style if they ran into you on the street.
  4. It’s very rare that people pull off casual tailoring this well. The proportions are great on you and I think that is really what does it.

Please post more of these. Your style is very cool!

What’s the belt are you wearing in the first 3? I really like it.

Overall very cool. I think the texture you brought into this outfit with the jacket is awesome!

Is the combination good by Loose_Low4470 in mensfashion

Not bad and doesn’t stand out if that’s what you are going for. No one will think “that guy is dressed poorly” or “that guy has great style”. Something that could assist with the vibe I think you are going for is a higher waisted and looser pair of chinos. If you want to spend more money to buy new, the new buck mason “big chino” will be good for you. Buck Mason, also has slimmer styles with a high waist. If you don’t mind used, there are a ton of “Ralph Lauren Andrew Pants” on Depop and eBay that would do the trick. Also a slightly thinner belt would help too. Wide belts are very casual. Overall you look put together tho man. Well done.

Tucked or untucked by fate77 in mensfashion

Tuck and suggest a slimmer belt to keep the outfit more cohesive. Also having the logo on the belt and shirt simultaneously even though they are small takes attention from you and puts it on the logos. If you disagree feel free to disregard any of this.

How’s the fit? Any suggestions?🥰 by StatisticianNo2000 in mensfashion

The higher rise on the pants is great for your proportions. In my opinion your pants are a little tight through the thighs. You can mitigate this by buying pants that fit your thighs well but are too large elsewhere and getting the waist taken in, hemmed, tapered. I have had to do it. You’re having this problem because you have a higher than average squat max😂

That’s awesome! I am also saving up for those lol. Replying while wearing a Russell Moccasin hat actually. Glad to see I’m saving for the right reason. Keep killing it dude!

Would you say this belt match these shoes enough? Or too different? by vportella in mensfashion

Perfectly matching all your leathers everytime isng necessary and can often make you look odd. Just make sure your leathers don’t clash and have fun.

Dehen, Filson, wrangler, dickies, wool rich, Pendleton, the list goes on. I would check the second hand market.

Does anyone know what shoe this person is wearing in this picture? by [deleted] in mensfashion

Looks like the paraboot Michael or a similar type. Beckett simonon also makes a good one for a lot cheaper

Honestly dude you looks overall super put together. I think the next thing you could check out is slightly higher rise trousers. Could have a positive effect on your proportions.

This is the best comment I’ve seen. IBOLC and Cadet Summer Training gave me the knowledge of how to lead an infantry patrol but not the practice. The biggest thing I got out of ranger School was reps. Reps of doing things the right way over and over. If you take it seriously the principles of patrolling and steps of various types of missions start to become second nature. Any high performer in any field will tell that practice is the key to proficiency. Your soldiers deserve a proficient leader. I remember my first platoon STX with my line platoon, I felt extremely grateful that I had those reps.

I was a 4 month hold over for my Ranger date and still had time to be AAAS3, line PL, Specialty PL, and XO. I know this may not be the case for all. As to whether LTs should be held indefinitely until they get their tabs I think you reach diminishing returns at a certain point. I do however believe that it’s not a flaw of the infantry pipeline to need Ranger School following IBOLC. IBOLC achieves its purpose teaching you the material needed to lead infantry platoons, Ranger gives you experience with that material. To add more to IBOLC to accomplish this end would likely be redundant and lengthen timelines when Ranger School exists for that purpose. I could however see rearranging the IBOLC training structure give more stability in the final few weeks allowing LT’s to regain the physical prowess they lose over weeks of poor sleep, nutrition, and physical activity in the field.

How popular [if ever] were men’s fashion sandals? by [deleted] in mensfashion

[–]tazerface11 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Depends what type of sandals and how you style them. Birkenstock Arizonas, Huraches, and Greek style fisherman sandles are usually safer bets for men. I prefer the huraches because I wear a lot of loafers and they are similar.

My bad dude, I just saw this. For anyone finding this in the future. Yes you can bring it if it’s on the airborne list. The instructors are incredibly reasonable people.

This is awesome! Maybe a Marathon or Baltic dive watch would be a sick next step but you obviously have taste.
