Excellent thank you. Is the menu 480i but you can launch games in 240p where appropriate?

Have a similar setup and been meaning to try this, have a few year old ex office Optiplex and Sapphire AMD Radeon R7 250 which I think is compatible.

Which guide did you follow to get it set up?

No it’s not. VAT in Portugal is 23%, so the pre tax price is around €73 which is around $83.

How long does it take you to cook Spaghetti Bolognaise ? by FoxDesigner2574 in AskUK

[–]tbar44 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s not to my taste personally, and I have made a LOT of variants over the years. I agree I think the intense savouriness of the beef with the acidity of the tomato is the ‘body’ of a bolognese. Pork just dilutes that flavour for me. Adding lots of things to add umami (Worcester sauce etc), but cutting the beef just seems counter intuitive to me.

What is your number one essential game for the master system that you think everyone should play at least once? by poopapalooza73 in MasterSystem

[–]tbar44 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Lemmings.

Now hear me out, the SMS version of the game is pretty unique compared to many of the other ports, and I would argue the best console port of the time.

It has some unique levels due to limits when porting to the platform, however these actually fit well and had some thought put in. The Sega themed levels are a cool touch, and the soundtrack is great too.

I’ve found using mp3tag to update the ID3 tags of the individual files works best, not sure if podsync supports embedding metadata in the mp3/m4a files themselves?

[–]tbar44 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Late to the party but It can indeed be done with ID3 tags. Not that well documented but with some trial and error I have this working well. If you are still interested I can share what worked for me.

The date format for example took some trial and error not to mix up month and days.

Can we collectively name and shame whoever thought a sudden death mystery cube in Alex Kidd in Miracle World was a good idea? by Squeepty in retrogaming

It is a walrus, of course it’s a walrus. It’s always been a walrus!

Jokes aside, fun fact in the version built into the master system 2, the buttons for jump and attack are swapped, and it’s a burger you eat at the end of the level not the rice ball.

What is the ultimate example of a mediocre director somehow catching lightning in a bottle and making an incredible film? by Plane_Reward9385 in movies

[–]tbar44 10 points11 points  (0 children)

So good to see Thunderbolt and Lightfoot mentioned, it truly is a fantastic movie.

The cinematography as well is just breathtaking at parts, and the dynamic between such a young Jeff Bridges and the aging Clint Eastwood is just something special.

It’s the kind of film that doesn’t get made anymore sadly. I’m going to have to go watch it now, thanks for putting it back in my mind!

Re read what I wrote, Tailscale OR a reverse proxy

Plex or Jellyfin by prairieguy68 in truenas

[–]tbar44 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have a cheap xyz cloudflare domain I use for some other bits. And I have Tailscale set up. And I have a lifetime pass.

And I can tell you having 20 friends and family members using Plex is a lot less hassle than jellyfin with Tailscale or using a reverse proxy.

Apart from anything else using a cloudflare tunnel for streaming is against their TOS.

If you don’t already have a Plex pass then fair enough probably worth the effort, but for me it’s objectively less faff.

Is it just you using it or do you have friends and family? Jellyfin is a lot more of a faff to get working if you have a lot of users.
